Abstract:

Background O-30: The Correlation between Myometrial Thickness and In Vitro Fertilization/ Intracyto- Plasmic Sperm Injection (IVF/ ICSI) Outcomes MaterialsAndMethods In this prospective cohort study, 453 infertile women undergoing IVF-ET/ICSI cycles without any obvious pathology of uterine were enrolled. Trans-vaginal ultrasounds were conducted on days 2-4 of the cycle (menstrual phase) preceding ovarian stimulation and the day of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) injection for measurement of myometrial thickness in anterior and posterior of uterine. The summation of baseline myometrial thickness in anterior and posterior (anterior-posterior diameter), preceding ovarian stimulation was divided into three following main groups: (A)

Comparison of clinical outcomes between in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in IVF-ICSI split insemination cycles

OBJECTIVE This study aimed to compare the clinical outcomes between in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in sibling oocytes. Additionally, we evaluated whether the implementation of split insemination contributed to an increase in the number of ICSI procedures. METHODS A total of 571 cycles in 555 couples undergoing split insemination cycles were included i...

The effect of endometrial thickness on in vitro fertilization (IVF)-embryo transfer/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) outcome.

The value of measuring the endometrial thickness and studying the endometrial receptivity in the context of assisted conception remains a contentious issue. A prospective analysis was carried out to determine the effect of endometrial thickness on IVF - embryo transfer/ICSI outcome in dedicated Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) units in Abuja and Rivers State, Nigeria. Two hundred and fift...

Pronuclear morphology evaluation for fresh in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles: a systematic review

The current systematic review was aimed to assess the effectiveness of the zygote morphology evaluation in fresh in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles. All available studies reporting on zygote morphology and clinical and/or biological outcomes were analyzed. Forty studies were included in the final analysis. Fourteen different zygote scoring systems we...

Does measuring early basal serum follicular lutinising hormone assist in predicting In vitro fertilization (IVF)/Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) outcome?

BACKGROUND The aim was to examine the correlation of early follicular serum lutinising hormone (LH) and the clinical outcome of assisted reproduction technique (ART). METHODS An observational study included 1333 consecutive women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). 964 women were having their first cycle of ART. Data were entered prospectively....

Pronuclear morphology evaluation in in vitro fertilization (IVF) / intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles: a retrospective clinical review

UNLABELLED BACKGROUND The assessment of the embryo quality is crucial to maintain an high pregnancy rate and to reduce the risk of multiple pregnancy. The evaluation of the pronuclear and nucleolar characteristics of human zygote have been proposed as an indicator of embryo development and chromosomal complement. The aim of the current study was to assess the role of pronuclear morphology ev...
