Abstract:

Grapes and grape-derived products have worldwide importance due to its consumption by human, however, they may also be used for ruminant feeding when their price or quality is low. The objectives of current study were to determine the nutritive value, in terms of chemical composition, in vitro rumen gas production kinetics and predicted nutrient supply, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopic (FTIR) molecular structures and mycotoxin and heavy metal contaminants in un-ripe, ripe and sun-dried (raisin) fruits of ‘Sultana’ grapevine for ruminants. Un-ripe fruit had higher nitrogen to total carbohydrate ratio and total phenol and tannin concentration (P

Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopic Comparison of Normal and Malignant Cervical Tissue Cervical Tissue.

Based on the accumulated data, FTIR spectroscopy seems to be a highly sensitive tool in cervical cancer diagnosis. We, therefore, employed this technique in a screening type of research here in Tehran. The purpose of this study was to look for the spectral pattern differences between normal and malignant cervix samples in Iranian women. Through formal and informal announcements, all gynecology ...

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic analysis of protein secondary structures.

Infrared spectroscopy is one of the oldest and well established experimental techniques for the analysis of secondary structure of polypeptides and proteins. It is convenient, non-destructive, requires less sample preparation, and can be used under a wide variety of conditions. This review introduces the recent developments in Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy technique and its app...
