Numerical modeling of magnetic microchannels for adsorption of water-soluble salt nanoparticles used in water transfer projects

Authors

Abstract:

In this research, a seawater desalination system has been studied and simulated by magnetic-electric method. The electric field is considered to ionize seawater and the magnetic field to isolate it. The equations of motion of water and salt particles are modeled by the Euler-Lagrangian method. Particularly important for the separation of micron diameter salts, the magnitude of the electric and magnetic field, and the rate of seawater inlet to the separation system.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

The Effect of Magnetic Nanoparticles along with Magnetic Experimental Modeling for the Desalination of the Caspian Sea Water

In this study, samples were taken of coastal waters of Kiashahr port. Magnetic desalination consisted of exposing the sample to a Magnetic field and putting the water in physical contact with magnetic nanoparticles which were synthesized with the co-precipitation method. X-ray diffractometer, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and field-emission scanning electron microscopy were used for t...

Numerical Modeling of the Stepped Planing Hull in Calm Water

This article describes a 3D CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulation implementation of the stepped planning hull in calm water. The turbulent free surface flow around the stepped planing hull is computed with a RANSE method, using the solver ANSYS-CFX. The turbulence model used is standard k–ε. In order to simulate the disturbed free surface, VOF model is implemented. The CFD model has bee...
