Nanocatalyst of ZnO Supported Copper Oxide Catalyzed Chemoselective Synthesis of 1,1-diacetates
Authors
Abstract:
In this research, a metal oxide nanocatalyst of ZnO supported copper oxide is reported as a highly efficient recyclable catalyst for the chemoselective synthesis of 1,1-diacetates. The catalyst was synthesized by co-precipitation method and characterized by XRD, BET specific surface area, ESEM, EDS and TEM analysis. A wide range of aldehydes, including aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes were converted into the corresponding 1,1-diacetates. The experimental procedure with CuO-ZnO nanocatalyst is quite straightforward. The catalyst can be recovered by simple filtration and recycled up to 6 consecutive runs without any losing of its efficiency

Nanocrystalline copper(II) oxide-catalyzed one-pot four- component synthesis of polyhydroquinoline derivativesunder solvent-free conditions
The efficient and environmentally friendly method for the one-pot synthesis of polyhydroquinolines has been developed in the presence of CuO nanoparticles. The multi-component reactions of aldehydes, dimedone, ethyl acetoacetate andammonium acetate were carried out under solvent-free conditions to afford some polyhydroquinoline derivatives. This method provides several advantages including high...

15 صفحه اولA colloidal ZnO/Cu nanocatalyst for methanol synthesis.
Free-standing, ZnO surface decorated Cu nanoparticles of 1-3 nm size were obtained by sequential co-pyrolysis of [Cu(OCHMeCH2NMe2)2] and ZnEt2 in squalane in the absence of additional surfactants and proved to be highly active quasi homogeneous catalysts for methanol synthesis from CO and H2.
full textSelective Hydrogenation of Cinnamaldehyde Catalyzed by ZnO-Fe2O3 Mixed Oxide Supported Gold Nanocatalysts
ZnO-Fe2O3 mixed oxides and supported gold nanocatalysts were prepared by using coprecipitation and deposition–precipitation methods, respectively. Cinnamaldehyde hydrogenation over various ZnO-Fe2O3 mixed oxides supported gold nanocatalysts have been investigated at 140 ◦C and a hydrogen pressure of 1.0 MPa. The molar ratio of Fe to Zn was found to greatly affect the selective hydrogenation cat...
full textBiological Synthesis of Copper/copper Oxide Nanoparticles
Metal nanoparticles have gained significant interest in the past decade because of their unique physio-chemical properties which has a potential to be used in a wide range of applications. Recent efforts have gained success in synthesising nanoparticles with excellent shape and size control; however they are largely restricted to chemical methods. There is an increasing focus on eco-friendly ‘g...
