Abstract:

Let $R$ be a commutative ring with identity. A proper submodule $N$ of an $R$-module $M$ is an n-submodule if $rmin N~(rin R, min M)$ with $rnotinsqrt{Ann_R(M)}$, then $min N$. A number of results concerning n-submodules are given. For example, we give other characterizations of n-submodules. Also various properties of n-submodules are considered.

Finite unions of submodules ON FINITE UNIONS OF SUBMODULES

This paper is concerned with finite unions of ideals and modules. The first main result is that if N ⊆ N1 ∪N2 ∪ · · · ∪Ns is a covering of a module N by submodules Ni, such that all but two of the Ni are intersections of strongly irreducible modules, then N ⊆ Nk for some k. The special case when N is a multiplication module is considered. The second main result generalizes earlier results on co...

Intuitionistic fuzzy Hv-submodules

After the introduction of fuzzy sets by Zadeh, there have been a number of generalizations of this fundamental concept. The notion of intuitionistic fuzzy sets introduced by Atanassov is one among them. In this paper, we apply the concept of an intuitionistic fuzzy set to Hv-modules. The notion of an intuitionistic fuzzy Hv-submodule of an Hv-module is introduced, and some related properties ar...

On Unitarily Equivalent Submodules

The Hardy space on the unit ball in C provides examples of a quasi-free, finite rank Hilbert module which contains a pure submodule isometrically isomorphic to the module itself. For n = 1 the submodule has finite codimension. In this note we show that this phenomenon can only occur for modules over domains in C and for finitely-connected domains only for Hardy-like spaces, the bundle shifts. M...

Fuzzy coprimary submodules

Let R be a commutative ring with non-zero identity and let M be a non-zero unitary R-module. The concept of fuzzy coprimary submodule as a dual notion of fuzzy primary one will be introduced and some of its properties will be studied. Among other things, the behavior of this concept with respect to fuzzy localization formation and fuzzy quotient will be examined.

Product of graded submodules

Let Δ be an abelian group. By considering the notion multiplication of Δ-graded modules (see [7]) over a commutative Δ-graded ring with unity, we introduce the notion of product of two Δ-graded submodules which we use to characterize the Δ-graded prime submodules of a multiplication Δ-graded module. Finally we proved a graded version of Nakayama lemma for multiplication Δ-graded modules.

Similarity Submodules and Semigroups

The similarity submodules for various lattices and modules of interest in the crystal and quasicrystal theory are determined and the corresponding semigroups, along with their zeta functions, are investigated. One application is to the colouring of crystals and quasicrystals.
