Abstract:

Peptides have shown Promising effect as pharmaceutics with the potential to treat a widevariety of diseases. Peptides are mostly synthesized by biological technology or chemicalmethods. Solution phasepeptide synthesis (SPS) and solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) aretwo major chemical techniques for peptidesproduction. In this research, the synthesis ofdipeptde(β-alanine-L-histidine)wasexaminedby the both SPS and SPPS methods. Thesolution phase synthesizeswasdonebyN-phthalic anhydride as a protective group andthe solidphase using standardtert-Butyloxycarbonyl (BOC) and Fluorenylmethyloxycarbonylchloride(Fmoc).Inthe both methods, themicrowave was assisted in different steps. Themolecular structure of the dipeptide(β-alanine-L-histidine)  wasdefined using differentspectrometrymethods such as:UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1HNMR and LC-Massanalysis.

Microwave-assisted solid-phase synthesis of peptoids.

Microwave irradiation reduces the reaction time for the solid-phase synthesis of peptoids. Under these conditions, coupling of each residue requires only 1 min. The purity and yields of peptoids synthesized in this way are as good as or better than those achieved using standard methods. [reaction: see text]

Comparison of chelating ability of dipeptide (histidine-β-alanine) and (tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphyrin) (TPPS4) for in vitro removal of toxic metals

Peptides are one of the best candidates for drug development due to their high specificity and low toxicity and porphyrins are significant macromolecules in biological systems with important roles. In this works ynthesis of dipeptide (histidine-β-alanine) was done by solid-phase peptide synthesis method (SPPS) and tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphyrin (TPPS4) was synthesized by Adler method. The...

A Theoretical Charge Density Investigation on Histidine-Histidine Dipeptide in Gas Phase

In the present work, an extensive theoretical calculation study on Histidine-Histidine dipeptide in gas phase is done by using DFT method with Gaussian 98 program. Through investigations on the molecular geometries of this molecule it is found that there is six rings in the molecules not two rings. The presence of four intramolecular hydrogen bonds is responsible for the formation of additional...

Analytical and physicochemical characterisation of the senile cataract drug dipeptide β-alanyl-L-histidine (carnosine).

This study presents a simple but sensitive HPLC chromatographic method with a stability-indicating assay for determination and physicochemical characterisation of L-carnosine, a promising senile cataract prophylactic agent. Chromatographic analysis was conducted using a reverse phase (RP)-HPLC system and an isocratic mobile phase of 98% v/v trifluoroacetic acid (0.1% v/v) and 2% v/v acetonitril...

Microwave-Assisted Solution Combustion Synthesis of WO3 Nanoparticles: Optical and Colorimetric Characteristics

Tungsten oxide (WO3) and tungsten oxide hydrate (WO3.H2O) nanoparticles were synthesized via microwave-assisted solution combustion in comparison with the acidic precipitation method. Oxalic acid was used as a surfactant and forming agent in the acidic precipitation method. In addition to oxalic acid, glycine and citric acid were also used as fuels in the microw...
