Management of a large coronary artery aneurysm with graft-coated stent during the acute phase of myocardial infarction
Authors
Abstract:
Coronary aneurysms in adults are rare clinical entities. Herein, we presented a 54-year-old man who was admitted with an acute extensive anterior myocardial infarction. The emergency coronary angiography revealed an isolated large aneurysm at the proximal segment of the left anterior descending coronary artery. The patient was successfully treated with a graft-coated stent

Coronary artery bypass graft surgery after acute myocardial infarction caused by thrombosis of coronary aneurysm.
The morphology of coronary aneurysm sets a predisposing factor to thrombus formation. However, the blood stasis caused by the change in flow may not be enough to cause thromboembolic events.

A 70-year-old man with hypertension was admitted to our coronary ICU with acute anterior MI. Emergent primary PCI was planned and coronary angiography was performed. LAD artery was totally occluded in the proximal segment just after a huge 32 × 26 mm sized aneurysm. Emergent CABG operation was performed in 75 minutes because of multivessel disease including the RCA and left circumflex artery. A...

the invention of the drug-eluting stent (des) has brought about revolutionary changes in the field of interventional cardiology. in the des era, in-stent restenosis has declined but new issues such as stent thrombosis have emerged. one of the emerging paradigms in the des era is stent fracture. there are reports about stent fracture leading to in-stent restenosis or stent thrombosis. most of th...
full textAnaesthetic management of a parturient with prior myocardial infarction and coronary artery bypass graft.
An increasing number of parturients suffering from ischaemic heart disease require anaesthetic care for labour and vaginal delivery. We present the case of a 42-year-old gravida who had previously suffered a myocardial infarction and undergone coronary artery bypass grafting. Management was directed toward prevention of haemodynamic instability by alleviation of pain and stress while minimizing...

Introduction: Spontaneous rupture of ectatic vessels is possible in different vascular beds and it can be life-threatening. Rapid diagnosis and initiation of appropriate treatment are essential. Case report: A 63-year-old man presented with chest pain in a state where he was sleepy.
