Abstract:
Background: The performance and collaboration of universities can be measured through scientific publications and scientometrics indicators. The purpose of this article is to describe the scientific publications situation of Kharazmi University and to discover the important actors of the Co-authorship networks of this university at three levels of researchers, organizations and countries in the web of Science from 1994 to 2020. Method: This article is a scientometrics study. Number of 4734 records for Kharazmi University have been extracted from Web of Science in both txt and Excel format, taking into account the different writing names of the Kharazmi university. Data visualization was performed using VOSviewer and the GunnMap. Finding: The results showed that Kharazmi University publications have received an average of 10.68 citations and its H-index is 75. Publishing documents and receiving citations is based on the ascending year. The five first subject areas are engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and computer science. For scientific co-authorship among Iranian organizations, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Tarbiat Modares; among foreign organizations, Putra University of Malaysia, California and Montreal; and among countries, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom are ranked first to third. Vahid Vatanpour, Mohammad Hossein Majlesara Jahromi, and Adeleh Divsalar are the top three researcher at the university. Vahid Vatanpour is the most effective researcher of the university in terms of quantitative and qualitative indicators. The fields of chemistry (organic and polymer chemistry / decomposition and application), biology, industrial engineering and engineering make main authorschr('39') of co-authorship network. Main actors in the organization network are Iranian organizations, and more in Tehran. Although Kharazmi University cooperation with other countries is not acceptable, but the drawing of the co-authorship network of countries shows that cooperation is developing at the international level. Also, scientific co-authorship with Iranian organizations, especially foreign organizations, has increased the citation of Kharazmi University publication. Conclusion: According to the results, the need for scientific cooperation at the international level is felt more in the kharazmi university. Also, the quality output of graduate studentschr('39') projects is not at an acceptable level and more attention should be paid to this.
