Hojjat-al-Tafasir and Abdol Hojjat Balaghi’s commentary trends

Abstract:
‘Hojjat-al-Tafasir’ commentary is a ten volume commentary among Shiite contemporary commentaries. It has been written by an Iranian Persian scientist, Sayyed Abdol Hojjat Balaghi. Seven volumes assigns to commentary and the first two volumes is about general setting of descent of the Quran and its elements and tenth volume also belongs to complementary explanations. Sayyed Abdol Hojjat Balaghi’s commentary trends will be introduced in this paper. Hojjat-al-Tafasir is a comprehensive commentary in which there are mystic themes based on the author’s mystic conduct. Important features of this commentary are as follows: usage of public information on identifying religions and comparing them with Islam and Quran, introducing historical subjects, narrating stories and historical evidences and employing mystic poems related to God. Above mentioned features will make the commentary more attractive and also more readable.
