Health-related Behaviors (Sports Activities) of Iranian Youths and Its Socio-Demographic Correlates

Abstract:
Nowadays healthy life style as a social dimension of health in academic world and making policy has considerable importance. Health promotion behaviors and conditions are beyond the limit impressible by structural factors and conditions. This research is conducted to examine influence of Socio-Demographic factors on daily sports activities among 15-34 years old youths in Iran urban areas by using secondary analysis of data from time use survey (2008-2009).bivariate analysis results indicated a different state in sports activities in a day among men and women, single and married, and different subgroups of activity and employment. Multivariate analysis results indicated that sex, employment status, education level has a powerful effect on sports activity. According to Overall result, we can say that structural variables have powerful effect on occurring of personal health-related behaviors.
