Geometric Programming Problem with Trapezoidal Fuzzy Variables
Authors
Abstract:
Nowadays Geometric Programming (GP) problem is a very popular problem in many fields. Each type of Fuzzy Geometric Programming (FGP) problem has its own solution. Sometimes we need to use the ranking function to change some part of GP to the linear one. In this paper, first, we propose a method to solve multi-objective geometric programming problem with trapezoidal fuzzy variables; then we use ranking function to sole one type of fuzzy geometric programming problem called Monomial Geometric Programming problem with respect to Trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. At the end, with an example we show how FGP is used in our real life. To illustrate the method, we use numerical examples

Sensitivity Analysis on Linear Programming Problems with Trapezoidal Fuzzy Variables
In the real word, there are many problems which have linear programming models and sometimes it is necessary to formulate these models with parameters of uncertainty. Many numbers from these problems are linear programming problems with fuzzy variables. Some authors considered these problems and have developed various methods for solving these problems. Recently, Mahdavi-Amiri and Nasseri (2007...
full textPossibility linear programming with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers
Fuzzy linear programming with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (TrFNs) is considered and a new method is developed to solve it. In this method, TrFNs are used to capture imprecise or uncertain information for the imprecise objective coefficients and/or the imprecise technological coefficients and/or available resources. The auxiliary multi-objective programming is constructed to solve the correspondin...
full textA revisit of a mathematical model for solving fully fuzzy linear programming problem with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers
In this paper fully fuzzy linear programming (FFLP) problem with both equality and inequality constraints is considered where all the parameters and decision variables are represented by non-negative trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. According to the current approach, the FFLP problem with equality constraints first is converted into a multi–objective linear programming (MOLP) problem with crisp const...
full textVariance Formulas for Trapezoidal Fuzzy Random Variables∗
The variance of fuzzy random variables often appears in fuzzy random programming problems. Based on the definition of the variance of a fuzzy random variable, this paper attempts to deduce several formulas for the variances of trapezoidal fuzzy random variables, in which the randomness is characterized by uniform distribution. Firstly, we give the moment formulas for trapezoidal fuzzy variables...
full textDuality results and a dual simplex method for linear programming problems with trapezoidal fuzzy variables
Linear programming problems with trapezoidal fuzzy variables (FVLP) have recently attracted some interest. Some methods have been developed for solving these problems by introducing and solving certain auxiliary problems. Here, we apply a linear ranking function to order trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Then, we establish the dual problem of the linear programming problem with trapezoidal fuzzy varia...
full textmultiobjective geometric programming with fuzzy parameters
generally, an engineering design problem has multiple objective functions. some of these problems can be formulated as multiobjective geometric programming models. on the other hand, often in the real world, coefficients of the objective functions are not known precisely. coefficients may be interpreted as fuzzy numbers, which lead to a multiobjective geometric programming with fuzzy parameters....
