Effects of dietary Kemin multi-enzyme on survival rates of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) exposed to abamectin

Authors

Abstract:

The aim of this study was utilizing Kemin multi-enzyme in common carp (Cyprinus carpio) diet and investigating its impact on fish survival rates exposed to the lethal concentration of abamectin. For this purpose, 42 fish were divided into two experimental diets, containing 0 and 1000 mg/kg of diets for 6 weeks. LC50 of abamectin for fish dietary consumed Kemin multi-Enzyme was determined with different concentrations of abamectin (0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 6 ml/l) for 96 hour. Then fish were exposed to 1.243 mg/liter abamectin. Analysis of the data showed significant difference between treatment and control groups in terms of fatalities (P

Effects of dietary Kemin multi-enzyme on survival rate of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) exposed to abamectin

The aim of this study was utilizing Kemin multi-enzyme in common carp (Cyprinus carpio) diet and investigating the impact on fish survival rate exposed to the lethal concentration of abamectin. For this purpose, 350 fish were divided into two experimental diets, containing 0 and 1000 mg Kemin kg-1 of diets for 6 weeks and weighed end of this stage. Then, LC50 of abamectin for fish dietary consu...

Common Carp, Cyprinus carpio

The common carp (Cyprinus carpio) belongs to the family Cyprinidae. In nature, carp live in the middle or lower reaches of a river with slow currents, or in marshes. Their habitats are usually weedy areas with a muddy bottom. Carp fry feed on zooplankton such as rotifers and copepods, but as they grow up they become benthic feeders, feeding on animals and other organic material. The cyprinids h...

Common carp - Cyprinus carpio

Distribution ! e common carp [Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus (1758)] has been one of the oldest domesticated species of fi sh for food. Culture of carp in China dates back to at least the 5th century BC, although domestication began much later. ! e European races of carp derived from wild carp of the Danube; the earliest attempts date back to the Roman Empire and spread of Christianity in Europe, fro...

Effects of dietary exposure to aflatoxins on some plasma biochemical indices of common carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Aflatoxins are a group of secondary fungal metabolites that occur widely in natural contaminants of many feeds under high humidity and temperature, and are potentially dangerous to fish. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the effects of aflatoxins on some plasma biochemical indices, as clinical biomarkers, in common carp, Cyprinus carpio. Fish were fed diets contaminated with 0 (...

Effects of propolis on biochemical and microbiological parameters in carp (Cyprinus carpio) fillets exposed to arsenic

The purpose of this study was to investigate the therapeutic effects of propolis on biochemical and microbiological parameters in muscle tissues of carp (Cyprinus carpio, Linnaeus 1758) exposed to arsenic. A sublethal concentration of arsenic (0.01 ppm) and/or 0.01 ppm propolis were administered to fish for seven days. Biochemical parameters [pH, lactic acid, total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-...
