Abstract:

The aim of this study was to assess the impact of trout farm effluent on some physicochemical and characteristics biotic indices in Daryaser River (Mazandaran Province). Sampling of water and macrobentic fauna were done in 5 stations (control, in before influent of farm; and other stations include; in 35, 125, 400 and 750 m after effluent were selected in two weekly in summer, 2011. Results showed that farm effluent was not significant difference in many physicochemical parameters (P>0.05) except nitrate and phosphate parameters in before and after farm effluent. An assessment of biotic indices indicates the health of the Daryasar River. It seems, for low production capacity of the farm and its suitability management, the drainage into Daryasar River has little adverse effects on water health and chemical quantities are in the scope of national standards for effluent discharge in surface water.

Impact of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) farm effluents on water physico-chemical parameters of Ryjab River (Kermanshah province)

The impact of rainbow trout farm effluents on water physico-chemical parameters of Ryjab River was investigated. Five stations were considered at different parts of the river. Station 1 located at the headwaters of the river, station 2 after nearly 30 percent of fish farms, station 3 after 60 percent of fish farms, station 4 after the last fish farm and station 5 located one kilometer after the...

Effects of treated sewage effluent on immune function in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss).

In this study, the immune reactions of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were examined, after exposure to 10, 30 and 70% of tertiary-treated municipal sewage effluent for 27 days. Exposures were conducted concurrently with and without an immune challenge using intraperitoneal injections of inactivated Aeromonas salmonicida salmonicida. Due to the time required to prepare and analyse samples, ...

Studying some reproduction characteristics of rainbow trout in Beheshtabad River of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province

Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) is an exotic fish in the inland waters of Iran and little is known about this species in Iranian natural waters. In this study, some biological characteristics of rainbow trout such as GSI and absolute and relative fecundity were examined in 355 specimens collected monthly from Beheshtabad River of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province during April 2013 to March...
