e-learning Utilization Based on the Problem-Solving Approach
Authors
Abstract:
Introduction & Objective: Paying attention to the process and approaches to the problem solving from the view of the e-learning courses designers, will improve the aspects of development. The problem-based learning provides the discovery structure and helps the students to internalize their learning. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that lead to more utilization of electronic learning environments based on the problem-solving approach. Methods: This is a review study. The data collected from the Google Scholar, Science Direct, Scientific Information Databases, Irandoc, Magiran, Civilica and, Noormag. The keywords were: problem-based learning, problem-oriented approach, problem-solving environments, e-learning, virtual learning, distance education, during the years 1999-2013. Results: Findings showed that the problem-solving method creates a sense of satisfaction and enjoyment in students and teachers of e-learning environments. The fear and frustration, learners’ stress, time-consuming, and the difficulty in an evaluation were the problems of the method implementation. Conclusion: There are some consequences with the appropriate provision of the e-learning courses, such as the link between the classes and the real world, organizing the problem-based curriculums, emphasizing the self- directed and lifelong learning, the role of teachers as the facilitators, and the cooperative Learning Environments.

Solving the Partial Label Learning Problem: An Instance-Based Approach
In partial label learning, each training example is associated with a set of candidate labels, among which only one is valid. An intuitive strategy to learn from partial label examples is to treat all candidate labels equally and make prediction by averaging their modeling outputs. Nonetheless, this strategy may suffer from the problem that the modeling output from the valid label is overwhelme...
