Dynamic DEA: A Hybrid Measure Approach
Authors
Abstract:
In the real world applications, there are some situations where inputs and outputs are time-dependent and are affected during the production periods. Capital stock can be seen as an effective instance in such occasions. In order to handling long-time planning, dynamic structure was proposed in efficiency evaluation. In this framework, there are some of the inputs and outputs change proportionally, which is called radially and the others change non-radially. Hence, for efficiency evaluation a combination of the radial and non-radial approaches, the hybrid model is applied. This paper goals to extend the hybrid measure in dynamic structure of Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA), also efforts to evaluate the overall efficiency of Decision Making Units(DMUs) with both radial and non-radial inputs and outputs for the whole terms as well as each term efficiencies.

Dynamic DEA: A slacks-based measure approach
In data envelopment analysis, there are several methods for measuring efficiency change over time, e.g. the window analysis and the Malmquist index. However, they usually neglect carry-over activities between consecutive two terms. These carry-overs play an important role in measuring the efficiency of decision making units in each term as well as over the whole terms based on the long-term vie...
full textDynamic DEA with network structure – A slacks - based measure approach –
We propose a dynamic DEA model involving network structure in each period within the framework of a slacks-based measure approach. We have previously published the network SBM (NSBM) and the dynamic SBM (DSBM) models separately. Hence, this article is a composite of these two models. Vertically, we deal with multiple divisions connected by links of network structure within each period and, hori...
full textNetwork DEA: A slacks-based measure approach
Traditional DEA models deal with measurements of relative efficiency of DMUs regarding multiple-inputs vs. multiple-outputs. One of the drawbacks of these models is the neglect of intermediate products or linking activities. After pointing out needs for inclusion of them in DEA models, we propose a slacks-based network DEA model that can deal with intermediate products. Using this model we can ...
full textbank performance evaluation using dynamic dea: a slacks-based measure approach
data envelopment analysis (dea) has been applied in many studies in the banking industry but deficiency of empirical studies in iranian banking sector that incorporate time factor into the efficiency, have still remained. previous studies measured the efficiency of bank branches in a single period within cross-sectional data. they did not consider the effect of interconnecting activities (links...
full textA Hybrid Fuzzy AHP-DEA Approach for Assessing University Performance
-In recent years, with the expansion of existing institutions as well as the establishment of new ones, higher education institutions have suffered the problem of declining available resources. Each university must assess the performance of its critical business units to measure effectiveness and efficiency. The purpose of this study is to assess university performance. In this study, we apply ...
full textA Hybrid Approach Based on Fuzzy Dea and Bsc to Measure the Efficiency of Supply Chain; Real Case of Industry
Performance evaluation plays an important role in determining faults and difficulties of any supply chain as well as attempting to increase capabilities and improve activities. Data envelopment analysis (DEA), as a non-parametric method, has been one of the most important and significant management tools for measuring output or efficiency. In fact, in a real evaluation problem input and output ...
