Developing and validating an instructional design model based on mental model theory
Authors
Abstract:
Abstract: This research has been done to develop and validate an instructional design model based on mental model theory. Based on mental model theory human being can do reasoning and problem solving through mental models. The main purpose of this model is to help pupils construct mental models, gain expertise and promote problem solving. In order to develop this model and response to research questions, the qualitative research method has been used. At first the qualitative content analysis with deductive pattern and then Tracey and Richey's method has been used to develop that desired instructional design model. After presenting conceptual framework and then initial instructional design model, the internal validation to model with a Delphi method has been done to obtain and finally develop desired instructional design model.

mortality forecasting based on lee-carter model
over the past decades a number of approaches have been applied for forecasting mortality. in 1992, a new method for long-run forecast of the level and age pattern of mortality was published by lee and carter. this method was welcomed by many authors so it was extended through a wider class of generalized, parametric and nonlinear model. this model represents one of the most influential recent d...

full textInstructional Design Model Based on Control-Value Theory of Achievement Emotions and Its Effectiveness on Academic Achievement Motivation and Self-Regulated Learning
Background and Aim: Deep and sustainable learning requires a safe and healthy environment. Moreover, paying attention to the intertwined emotional, motivational, cognitive and social processes in the teaching-learning process is vital. Academic achievement motivation and self-regulated learning (SRL) are two important elements in this process that are influenced by the achievement emotions in t...
full textA Macro Model for Developing, Validating and Evaluating Nature of Science Curricula and Instructional Materials
Nature of science research continues to generate a high level of interest among educators and scholars. Despite the fact that the nature of science is a continually evolving and highly complex instructional endeavor, there are no comprehensive instructional models available for researchers that can systematically capture and organize this theoretical ‘universe’ of content and then translate thi...
full textAn Evolving Instructional Design Model for Designing Web-Based Courses
The complexity of design for Web-based course requires the incorporation of instructional design principles. However, majority of the existing models were not adequate to address the needs of Web-based learning. This project therefore stems from the fact that a specific Instructional Design model is needed to guide designers in developing Web-based courses. A study was conducted in a multimedia...
