NdO(NO3)

The title compound, neodymium(III) oxide nitrate, which is isostructural with LaO(NO(3)), arose from a solvothermal reaction. The Nd ion (site symmetry m) is ten-coordinated by eight O atoms of NO(3) groups and two μ(2)-oxide ions. A three-dimensional structure is constructed by the inter-connection of NdO(10) polyhedra. The oxide ion and the N atom and one of the nitrate O atoms possess site s...

Uptake of NO3 on Water Solutions: Rate Coefficients for Reactions of NO3 with Cloud Water Constituents

The reactive uptake coefficients, γ, of NO3 onto aqueous solutions containing ions X) HSO3, SO3, HCOO-, CH3COO, and OHwere measured at 273 ( 1 K using a wetted-wall flow tube reactor. The values of HDl k (H ) Henry’s law coefficient, Dl ) diffusion coefficient in the liquid phase, and k ) second-order rate coefficient for the liquid phase reactions of NO3 with X-) for the reactive uptake of NO3...

[Co(NH3)5(NO3)](NO3)2 as an energetic coordination precursor for the preparation of Co3O4 nanoparticles at low temperature

In this paper, an energetic coordination compound namely pentamminenitratocobalt(III) nitrate, [Co(NH3)5(NO3)](NO3)2, was used as a new precursor for the preparation of Co3O4 nanoparticles. The results showed that the complex is easily decomposed into the Co3O4 nanoparticles at low temperature (200 °C) without employing a surfactant or solvent and any complicated equipment. The product was char...
