CONVERGENCE THEOREMS FOR ASYMPTOTICALLY PSEUDOCONTRACTIVE MAPPINGS IN THE INTERMEDIATE SENSE FOR THE MODIFIED NOOR ITERATIVE SCHEME
Authors
Abstract:
We study the convergence of the modified Noor iterative scheme for the class of asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings in the intermediate sense which is not necessarily Lipschitzian. Our results improves, extends and unifies the results of Schu [23] and Qin {it et al.} [25].

Throughout this paper, we always assume thatH is a real Hilbert space, whose inner product and norm are denoted by 〈·, ·〉 and ‖ · ‖. The symbols → and ⇀ are denoted by strong convergence and weak convergence, respectively. ωw xn {x : ∃xni ⇀ x} denotes the weak w-limit set of {xn}. Let C be a nonempty closed and convex subset of H and T : C → C a mapping. In this paper, we denote the fixed point...

and Applied Analysis 3 T is said to be an asymptotically strict pseudocontraction in the intermediate sense if there exists a sequence {kn} ⊂ 1,∞ with kn → 1 as n → ∞ and a constant κ ∈ 0, 1 such that lim sup n→∞ sup x,y∈C (∥ ∥Tx − Tny∥∥2 − kn ∥ ∥x − y∥∥2 − κ∥∥ I − T x − I − T y∥∥2 ) ≤ 0. 1.9 For such a case, T is also said to be an asymptotically κ-strict pseudocontraction in the intermediate ...

We study the convergence of Ishikawa iteration process for the class of asymptotically κ-strict pseudocontractive mappings in the intermediate sense which is not necessarily Lipschitzian. Weak convergence theorem is established. We also obtain a strong convergence theorem by using hybrid projection for this iteration process. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results announced by...
full textConvergence of the Explicit Iteration Method for Strictly Asymptotically Pseudocontractive Mappings in the Intermediate Sense
In this paper, we establish a weak convergence theorem and some strong convergence theorems of an explicit iteration process for a finite family of strictly asymptotically pseudo-contractive mappings in the intermediate sense and also establish a strong convergence theorem by a new hybrid method for above said iteration scheme and mappings in the setting of Hilbert spaces.
