COMPLEXES OF LEAD (II)*: CRYSTAL STRUCTURES OF L2Pb (NO,), AND L2Pb(SCN), L=Z(AMINOMETHYL) PYRIDINE

Authors: not saved
Abstract:

The reactions of Pb(N0 ) and Pb(SCN)2 with 2-(aminomethy1)pyridine (C H N = L) yielded colourless crystals of L Pb(N0 ) ( I ) and L Pb(SCN) , (2), respectively. Their structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data: 1, monoclinic, P2 /c, a = 9.263 (4) ?, b = 7.783 (2) ?, c = 6.692 (3) ?, ? = 101.26 (2)?, Z = 2, Mo K?, 1540 observed (I > 2.5 ?(I) data (22 ? C), R = 0.038; 2, monoclinic P2 /c, a = 10.010 (3) ?, b = 8.212 (10) ?. c = 11.010 (5) ?, ?= 94.26 (5) ?, Z = 2, Mo K? 1856 observed (I > 2.5 ? ( I )) data (22 ? C), R = 0.040

LEWIS-BASE ADDUCTS OF LEAD (11) COMPLEXES. CRYSTAL STRUCTURES OF Pb (BIPY) (H O) (N0 ) AND Pb (PHEN) (H 0) (NO )

Reactions of equemolar amounts of lead (II) nitrate and 2,2'- bipyridine o r l , 10- phenanthroline in aqueous methanolicsolution yield crystals of Pb (bipy)(H O)(NO ) (1) or Pb (phen) (H O) (NO ) (2) respectively. Their structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. The method and structure determination is described

Synthesis, Crystal Structures, and DNA Binding Properties of Zinc(II) Complexes with 3-Pyridine Aldoxime

The employment of 3-pyridine aldoxime, (3-py)CHNOH, in Zn(II) chemistry has afforded two novel compounds: [Zn(acac)(2){(3-py)CHNOH}]·H(2)O (1·H(2)O) [where acac(-) is the pentane-2,4-dionato(-1) ion] and [Zn(2)(O(2)CMe)(4){(3-py)CHNOH}(2)] (2). Complex 1·H(2)O crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n. The Zn(II) ion is five-coordinated, surrounded by four oxygen atoms of two acac(-) m...
