Abstract:

القاء زایمان یکی از روشهای مهم و باارزش در مامایی بوده که روش درمانی قابل قبول برای موارد خاص مامایی یا طبی می باشد. هنگامی که تحریک زایمان به دلیل راحتی و با مسائل روانی و اجتماعی انجام شود زایمان القایی گفته می شود. با افزایش تعداد متخصصین زنان و مامایی و بیمارانشان که زایمان القایی را انتخاب می کنند، میزان زایمان القایی در حال افزایش است.  در سال ۱۹۹۰ در بیمارستان مادران هانتیگتون ٪۳۰ موارد تحریک زایمانی بصورت انتخابی و بدون دلایل مامایی یا پزشکی خاص صورت گرفته است. گرچه مقالات محدودی درباره القاء انتخابی زایمان وجود دارد، ولی منافع و مضرات آن توضیح داده شده است.  در مورد خطرات القاء انتخابی زایمان برای مادر و جنین عقاید مختلفی وجود دارد.
