Abstract:

Let   a family of monomorphisms in the category A ‎To study mathematical notions in a category  A‎, ‎such as injectivity‎, ‎tensor products‎, ‎flatness‎, ‎with respect to a class M of its (mono)morphisms‎, ‎one should know some of the categorical properties of the pair (A ‎,M ‎)‎. ‎In this paper we take A to be the‎‎category  Pos-S  of S-partially ordered sets  and   to be a particular‎ class of monomorphisms‎, ‎to be called  partially‎ ‎ordered regular pure(po-pure)} monomorphisms‎. In this paper we investigate‎ some  categorical properties such as limits and colimits for this class‎.

Partially Ordered Regular Languages for Graph Queries

In this paper we present an extension of regular languages to support graph queries. The proposed extension is based on the introduction of a partial order on the strings of the languages. We extend regular expressions and regular grammars by introducing partial orders on strings and production rules, respectively. The relations between regular expressions and regular grammars are analyzed. We ...

Categorical Abstract Algebraic Logic: Partially Ordered Algebraic Systems

An extension of parts of the theory of partially ordered varieties and quasivarieties, as presented by Paaasińska and Pigozzi in the framework of abstract algebraic logic, is developed in the more abstract framework of categorical abstract algebraic logic. Algebraic systems, as introduced in previous work by the author, play in this more abstract framework the role that universal algebras play ...

Aggregation operators on partially ordered sets and their categorical foundations

In spite of increasing studies and investigations in the field of aggregation operators, there are two fundamental problems remaining unsolved: aggregation of L-fuzzy settheoretic notions and their justification. In order to solve these problems, we will formulate aggregation operators and their special types on partially ordered sets with universal bounds, and introduce their categories. Furth...

Tripled partially ordered sets

In this paper, we introduce tripled partially ordered sets and monotone functions on tripled partiallyordered sets. Some basic properties on these new dened sets are studied and some examples forclarifying are given.

Approximation on Partially Ordered Sets of Regular Grids

In this paper we analyse the approximation of functions on partially ordered sequences of regular grids. We start with the formulation of minimal requirements for useful grid transfer operators in such a partially ordered context, and we continue with the introduction of hierarchical decompositions and the identiication of piecewise constant and piecewise linear approximations as special instan...

Cohen-Macaulay Partially Ordered Sets with Pure Resolutions

1.1. Let V = {x1, x2, . . . , xv} be a finite set, called the vertex set, and 1 a simplicial complex on V . Thus 1 is a collection of subsets of V such that (i) {xi } ∈ 1 for every 1 ≤ i ≤ v and (ii) σ ∈ 1, τ ⊂ σ ⇒ τ ∈ 1. Each element σ of 1 is called a face of 1. Set d = max{#(σ ); σ ∈ 1}. Here #(σ ) is the cardinality of σ as a finite set. Then the dimension of 1 is defined by dim1 = d − 1. A...
