AROMATIZATION OF 1 , CDIHYDROPYRIDINES WITH OXYGEN OR AIR USING MANGANESE AND COBALT SALTS OF p-AMINOBENZOIC ACID SUPPORTED ON SILICA GEL AS OXIDIZING CATALYSTS

Authors: not saved
Abstract:

Hantzsch 1,4-dihydropyridines are oxidized to the corresponding pyridine derivatives using oxygen or air and a mixture of the manganese and cobalt salts of parninobenzoic acid supported on silica gel as the catalysts. Reactions are clean and the catalysts can be recovered easily and reused repeatedly.

Manganese and Cobalt Salts of Para-Amino-Benzoic Acid Supported on Silica Gel as Oxidizing Catalysts

Para-Aminobenzoic acid is supported on silica gel via reaction of activated silica gel and p-aminobenzoic acid which is then converted to its manganese and cobalt salts. A mixture of the manganese and cobalt salts of the acid is used to catalyze allylic and benzylic alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds in reasonable yields using oxygen or air. Reactions are clean and the catal...

single-step synthesis of multi-component spirobarbiturates using ionic liquids and synthesis of substituted pyridine filled with catalysts supported on solid substrate

in this thesis, a better reaction conditions for the synthesis of spirobarbiturates catalyzed by task-specific ionic liquid (2-hydroxy-n-(2-hydroxyethyl)-n,n-dimethylethanaminium formate), calcium hypochlorite ca(ocl)2 or n-bromosuccinimide (nbs) in the presence of water at room temperature by ultrasonic technique is provided. the design and synthesis of spirocycles is a challenging task becaus...

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...
