An Optimized PID for Capsubots using Modified Chaotic Genetic Algorithm (RESEARCH NOTE)
author
Abstract:
This paper proposes a design for a mesoscale capsule robot which can be used in gaining diagnostic data and delivering medical treatment in inaccessible parts of the human body. A novel approach is presented for the capsule robot control: A PID-controlled closed-loop approach. A modified chaotic genetic algorithm will be used to optimize the coefficients of PID controller. Then, simulation will be conducted to demonstrate the results for the proposed approach.

Design of IIR Digital Filter using Modified Chaotic Orthogonal Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (RESEARCH NOTE)
There are two types of digital filters including Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) and Finite Impulse Response (FIR). IIR filters attract more attention as they can decrease the filter order significantly compared to FIR filters. Owing to multi-modal error surface, simple powerful optimization techniques should be utilized in designing IIR digital filters to avoid local minimum. Imperialist compe...
full textAerodynamic Design Optimization Using Genetic Algorithm (RESEARCH NOTE)
An efficient formulation for the robust shape optimization of aerodynamic objects is introduced in this paper. The formulation has three essential features. First, an Euler solver based on a second-order Godunov scheme is used for the flow calculations. Second, a genetic algorithm with binary number encoding is implemented for the optimization procedure. The third ingredient of the procedure is...
full textImprovement of Frequency Fluctuations in Microgrids Using an Optimized Fuzzy P-PID Controller by Modified Multi Objective Gravitational Search Algorithm
Microgrids is an new opportunity to reduce the total costs of power generation and supply the energy demands through small-scale power plants such as wind sources, photo voltaic panels, battery banks, fuel cells, etc. Like any power system in micro grid (MG), an unexpected faults or load shifting leads to frequency oscillations. Hence, this paper employs an adaptive fuzzy P-PID controller for f...
full textAdaptive Backstepping and Pid Optimized by Genetic Algorithm in Control of Chaotic
In this paper, the robust adaptive control scheme based on adaptive backstepping design is used to control the autonomous second order strict feedback form such as the Lorenz Chaotic system. The design procedure is recursive; at the i step, the i subsystem is stabilized with respect to a Lyapunov function Vi by the design of a stabilizing function αi, tuning function τi, and the update law ̇̂ θi ...
full textOptimization of Cement Spacer Rheology Model Using Genetic Algorithm (RESEARCH NOTE)
The primary cement job is a critical step in successful well completion. To achieve effective cementing job, complete mud removal from the annular is recommended. Spacer and flushers are used widely to achieve this goal. This study is about weighted cement spacer systems containing a surfactant package, weighting agent and rheological modifiers. Weighted spacer systems are utilized when a high ...
full textNonlinear optimized Fast Locking PLLs Using Genetic Algorithm
Abstract— This paper presents a novel approach to obtain fast locking PLL by embedding a nonlinear element in the loop of PLL. The nonlinear element has a general parametric Taylor expansion. Using genetic algorithm (GA) we try to optimize the nonlinear element parameters. Embedding optimized nonlinear element in the loop shows enhancements in speed and stability of PLL. To evaluate the perform...
