A Study on Exponential Fuzzy Numbers Using alpha-Cuts
Authors
Abstract:
In this study a new approach to rank exponential fuzzy numbers using -cuts is established. The metric distance of the interval numbers is extended to exponential fuzzy numbers. By using the ranking of exponential fuzzy numbers and using -cuts the critical path of a project network is solved and illustrated by numerical examples. Keywords: Exponential Fuzzy Numbers, -cuts, Metric Distance, Ranking, Critical Path.

A note on "An interval type-2 fuzzy extension of the TOPSIS method using alpha cuts"
The technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is a method based on the ideal solutions in which the most desirable alternative should have the shortest distance from positive ideal solution and the longest distance from negative ideal solution. Depending on type of evaluations or method of ranking, different approaches have been proposing to calculate distances ...
full textA Proposed Preference Index For Ranking Fuzzy Numbers Based On $alpha$-Optimistic Values
In this paper, we propose a novel method for ranking a set of fuzzy numbers. In this method a preference index is proposed based on $alpha$-optimistic values of a fuzzy number. We propose a new ranking method by adopting a level of credit in the ordering procedure. Then, we investigate some desirable properties of the proposed ranking method.
full textRanking of Generalized Exponential Fuzzy Numbers using Integral Value Approach
Ranking of fuzzy numbers play an important role in decision making, optimization, forecasting. In fuzzy decision making problems fuzzy numbers must be ranked before an action is taken by a decision maker. Chen and Li have proposed on “Representation, ranking, and distance of fuzzy number with exponential membership function using grade mean integration method" by ranking index for ranking expon...
full textA new approach based on alpha cuts for solving data envelopment analysis model with fuzzy stochastic inputs and outputs
Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a widely used technique for measuring the relative efficiencies of homogenous Decision Making Units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and multiple outputs. These factors may be evaluated in fuzzy or stochastic environment. Hence, the classic structures of DEA model may be changed where in two fold fuzzy stochastic environment. For instances, linearity, feasibility a...
full textRanking Exponential Trapezoidal Fuzzy Numbers with Cardinality
In this paper, we want to represent a method for ranking of two exponential trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. In this study a new Cardinality between exponential trapezoidal fuzzy numbers is proposed. Cardinality in this method is relatively simple and easier in computation and ranks various types of exponential fuzzy numbers. For the validation the results of the proposed approach are compared with d...
full textOn generalized fuzzy numbers
This paper first improves Chen and Hsieh’s definition of generalized fuzzy numbers, which makes it the generalization of definition of fuzzy numbers. Secondly, in terms of the generalized fuzzy numbers set, we introduce two different kinds of orders and arithmetic operations and metrics based on the λ-cutting sets or generalized λ-cutting sets, so that the generalized fuzzy numbers are integrat...
