Abstract:

S7-1200 with Tia Portal technology has become a Standard function of distributed controlsystems. Self-Tuning methods belong to Programmable Controllers (PLC) techniques. PLCtechniques contain software packages for advanced control based on mathematical methods. S7-1200 tools are designed to increase the Process Capacity, yield, and quality of products. Most ofthe present time digital industry regulators and PLCs are provided with some kinds of the SelfTuning constant algorithms. Practical part of the present paper deals with the design of thecontrol systems, which contain Self Tuning regulators and Zone PID features. A Control Systemwith PID Self Tuner is designed by Siemens along with visualization in Tia Portal to do so. Thereis a description of an implementation of the PID regulator as a function block, which can also beused for extension Zone PID control functions. Control Systems for relay and moment Self Tunerwith visualizations in Tia Portal are also designed and tested in ZAFAR Steel Plant, BONAB,IRAN.

Vehicle Stabilization via a Self-Tuning Optimal Controller

Nowadays, using advanced vehicle control and safety systems in vehicles is growing rapidly. In this regard, in recent years new control systems, called VDC, have been introduced. These systems stabilize vehicle yaw motion, by yaw moment resulted from tire controlling forces. In this paper, an adaptive optimal controller applied to a vehicle to obtain a satisfactory lateral and yaw stability. To...

Implementation of a New Self-Tuning Fuzzy PID Controller on PLC

In this study, the self-tuning method for fuzzy PID controllers that has been developed in a previous study of the authors is implemented on PLC in order to control some standard processes formed on FEEDBACK PCS 327 Process Control Simulator. In this tuning method, the input scaling factor corresponding to the derivative coefficient and the output scaling factor corresponding to the integral co...

self-tuning of an interval type-2 fuzzy pid controller for a heat exchanger system

a novel technique is investigated for pid controller adaptation in order to control thetemperature of a liquid-phase reactor tank by using a heat exchanger system. as for nonlinearity, time delay problems and model uncertainties introduced by the heat exchanger, an interval type-2fuzzy system (it2fs) is implemented to enhance and improve the total control performance.moreover, the fuzzy inferenc...

Self-tuning Pid Controller Based on Control Performance Evaluations

In steady state of process systems, reductions in cost and advances in quality are continuously pursued. Some process systems are considered time-variant systems with system characteristics that change according to the conditions and environments of the system operations. Previously, one of the authors proposed a design scheme of a selftuning PID control system, in which a user-specified parame...

A Design of a PID Self-Tuning Controller Using LabVIEW

In this paper a trial has been made to design a simple self-tuning LabVIEW-based PID controller. The controller uses an open –loop relay test, calculates the tuned parameters in an open loop mode of operation before it updates controller parameters and runs the process as a closed-loop system. The controller reacts on a persistent offset error value as a result of load disturbance or a set poin...

Microcontroller based self-tuning digital PID controller

Paper deals with implementation of self-tuning digital PID controller on general-purpose 8-bit Freescale 68HC908GB60 microcontroller which is a part of development board M68EVB908GB60 by Axiom Manufacturing. The process is identified using modified recursive least squares method with adaptive directional forgetting resulting in δ-model representation of controlled plant. This representation was...
