Abstract:

In this study, highly ordered mesoporous silica material (SBA-15) functionalized with Diethyl 2 - (9 -fluorenyl) malonate as a flourophore is reported. The anchoring of flourophores to the hydroxyl group on SBA-15 surface was done with post synthesis method. The obtained materials were characterized by small and wide angle X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption–desorption, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis that indicate the successful immobilization of Diethyl 2 - (9 -fluorenyl) malonate on the surface of mesoporous silica. This organic–inorganic hybrid displayed highly selective and sensitive to Fe3+ ion over other cations such as Mg2+, Cr3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Hg2+ and Zn2+. Turn-off photoluminescence of this material was remarkably observed for iron ions in comparing of the other cations. A good linearity between the fluorescence intensity of the prepared material and the concentration of Fe3+ ion is constructed, which enables this martial as a fluorescence chemo sensor for detecting the Fe3+ ion with a suitable detection limit.

Diethyl 2-(triphenylmethyl)malonate

In the title compound, C(26)H(26)O(4), steric crowding of the Ph(3)C- group with the -CH(CO(2)Et)(2) unit leads to a long C-C bond [1.585 (2) Å]. One of the two ethyl groups is disordered over two sites in a 60:40 ratio.

Diethyl 2-(2-nitrobenzylidene)malonate

In the title compound, C(14)H(15)NO(6), the ethoxy-carbonyl groups adopt extended conformations. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into centrosymmetric dimers via pairs of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with a R(2) (2)(20) motif.

Diethyl 2-[(4-bromoanilino)methylidene]malonate

In the title compound, C(14)H(16)BrNO(4), inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming a stable structure. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond results in the formation of a six-membered ring and helps to establish the mol-ecular conformation which is almost planar, with an r.m.s deviation of 0.0842 Å.

(η5-Cyclopentadienyl)[η6-diethyl ethyl(phenyl)malonate]iron(II) hexafluoridophosphate

At 223 (2) K, the complexed rings in the iron(II) complex cation of the title salt, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(15)H(20)O(4))]PF(6), are almost parallel [dihedral angle between planes = 4.10 (14)°]. Among the C atoms of the complexed arene ring, the quaternary C atom is located at the longest distance from the Fe atom. The F atoms of the PF(6) (-) anion were found to be equally disordered over two sites.

Diethyl 2-{[3-(2-methoxybenzyl)thiophen-2-yl]methylidene}malonate

In the title compound, C(20)H(22)O(5)S, the dihedral angle between the mean planes through the thio-phene and benzene rings is 75.2 (1)°. The meth-oxy group is essentially coplanar with the benzene ring, the largest deviation from the mean plane being 0.019 (2) Å for the O atom. The malonate group assumes an extended conformation.

Degradation of trinitroglycerin (TNG) using zero-valent iron nanoparticles/nanosilica SBA-15 composite (ZVINs/SBA-15).

Trinitroglycerin (TNG) is an industrial chemical mostly known for its clinical use in treating angina and manufacturing dynamite. The wide manufacture and application of TNG has led to contamination of vast areas of soil and water. The present study describes degradation of TNG with zero-valent iron nanoparticles (ZVINs) in water either present alone or stabilized on nanostructured silica SBA-1...
