A NEW SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC PROCEDURE FOR THE DETERMINATION OF NICKEL (11) USING 6-PHENYL-2,3-DIHYDRO-AS-TRIAZINE-3 –THIONE
Authors: not saved
Abstract:
A spectrophotometric procedure for the determination of Nickel (??) based on the complex formation with 6-phenyl-2, 3-dihydro-as-triazine-3-thione (PDTT) was developed. A yellow compound forms and is easily extractable by chloroform at pH>6. The mole ratio between Nickel (??) and PDTT is 1:4. The absorbance of the complex obeys Beer's law over the concentration range of 1-7 ug of Ni (??) per ml chloroform. This procedure can be carried out in the presence of many cations and anions without appreciable interference.

full textSynthesis of 6-(Phenanthrene-3-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1,2,4,-triazine-3-thione as a New Reagent for the Non-Extractive Spectrophotometric Determination of Cu(II)
A simple, sensitive, and non-extractive spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of copper (II) using a newly synthesized chromogenic reagent, 6-(phenanthrene-3-yl)-1,2,4,-triazine-3-thione(PhDTT), in Tween 80 neutral surfactant. To synthesize the reagent (PhDDT), amyl nitrite was added to 3-acethylphenanthrene and refluxed for 26 hours to produce 2-oxo-2-(phenanthren-3...
full textSynthesis of 6-(2-Methoxynaphthyl)-2,3-dihydro-1,2,4-triazine-3-thione as a New Reagent for Spectrophotometric Determination of Copper
A simple, sensitive, accurate, and green spectrophotometric method for the determination of Cu(II) using newly synthesized reagent, 6-(2-methoxynaphthyl)-2,3-dihydro-1,2,4-triazine-3-thione (MNDTT), has been developed. MNDTT was synthesized based on the acylation of methoxy naphthalene and reaction of the product with amyl nitrite, which upon reaction with thiosemicarbazide yielded 6-(2-meyhoxy...
full textSpectrophotometric Determination of Cu2+ and Monitoring of Hg2+ and Ni2+ in some Iranian Vegetables Using 6-(2-Naphthyl)-2, 3-Dihydro-as-triazine-3-thione
Recently, 6-(2-naphthyl)-2, 3-dihydro-as-triazine-3-thione (NDTT) was synthesized in laboratory and used successfully for the spectrophotometric determination of nanogram levels of Cu2+ in aqueous solution. This reagent forms a specific red complex with Cu2+ ions after the extraction by chloroform at alkaline pH. The absorption of the complex in the UV region (313 nm) is about 8 times as strong...

full textSynthesis of 5,6-Diphenyl-2,3-dihydro-1,2,4-triazine-3-thione as a New Reagent for Spectrophotometric Determination of Palladium
A new chromogenic reagent for the sensitive and selective determination of Pd ions in aqueous solution was synthesized. The reagent, 5,6-diphenyl-2,3-dihydro-1,2,4-triazine-3-thione, forms colored complexes with a few heavy metal ions. A 1:1 (M:L) yellowish orange colored complex of DPhDTT-Pd was formed in methanol. The molar absorptivity is 6.67×10 L mol cm. Bee’s law was obeyed in the concent...
