abstract

in the present investigation efforts have been made to synthesis polyvinyl pyridine (pvpy) /c60 conjugatesthrough 2, 2-azobisisobutyronitrile (aibn) initiated insitu polymerization of pvpy in scco2.the processof synthesis was monitored under different reaction conditions ranging 1200-1800psi, 60-90 oc over 6hours. the progress of polymerization was monitored rheoviscometrically. the concentration of pvpyand aibn ranging 6.95-20.85*10-3 and 304.50-931.50 *10-3 afforded pvpy/c60 conjugates in the yield(%) ranging 10.30-48.8. selected pvpy/c60 conjugates were characterized through uv-vis spectra, scanning electron microscopy, gel permeation chromatography and solution rheoviscometery.

Measurement and Modeling of Acridine Solubility in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide

Supercritical carbon dioxide has gained increasing attention in food and pharmaceutical processing owing to the fact that it is environmentally inexpensive, not flammable, essentially non-toxic, and it has a convenient critical point. Also, it has been attracting much attention in many fields, such as extraction of sensitive materials and pharmaceutical processing and polymerization processes. ...

Synthesis of amides and lactams in supercritical carbon dioxide.

Supercritical carbon dioxide can be employed as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional organic solvents for the synthesis of a variety of carboxylic amides. The addition of amines to ketenes generated in situ via the retro-ene reaction of alkynyl ethers provides amides in good yield, in many cases with ethylene or isobutylene as the only byproducts of the reaction. Reactions wi...

Synthesis of cross-linked polymer microspheres in supercritical carbon dioxide

Herein we report the synthesis of highly cross-linked polymers based on divinylbenzene by heterogeneous polymerization in supercritical CO2 (scCO2). The polymers were isolated in the form of discrete microspheres (diameter = 1.5–5 lm) in good yields (F90%), in the absence of any stabilizers. In the presence of a CO2-soluble polymeric stabilizer, much smaller particles (diameter a0.5 lm) were fo...

Synthesis of Mesoporous Organosilicate Films in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide

strate for the resist. After spin-coating, the polymer was gently softbaked at 40 °C to evaporate the solvent. The SU-8 was then structured by UV lithography (k= 365 nm) and post-exposure-baked at 40 °C to polymerize the exposed material. Three-dimensional microsystems were achieved by adding further SU-8 layers and repeating the resist processing steps. The microdevices were finally developed ...
