abstract

the supercapacitive behavior of polyaniline/mno2-carbon black (pani/mno2-cb), mno2-cb nanocompositesand cb was studied. mno2-cb made by the in situ direct coating method to deposit mno2 onto cb; then pani coating was coated on it. morphology of the nanocomposite was studied by x-ray diffraction (xrd), fourier transform infrared (ft-ir) spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (sem). the electrochemical properties of electrodes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (cv), galvanostatic charge–discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (eis) techniques in 0.5 m na2so4. the specific capacitance of 179.8 f. g-1 was obtained for pani/mno2-cb compared with 121 f. g-1 for mno2-cb and 44.87 f. g-1 for cb. the eis results also revealed improved capacitive properties of cb by the addition of mno2 and pani.

Impedance-based study of capacitive porous carbon electrodes with hierarchical and bimodal porosity

Porous electrode capacitors are used extensively in systems which store energy, harvest mixing energy, or desalinate water. These electrodes can possess a hierarchical pore structure with larger macroscale pores allowing for facile ion and fluid transport, and smaller, nanometer-scale pores enabling significant ion storage. We here present a combined theoretical (linear circuit model) and exper...

The Synthesized Reduced Graphene Oxide Enhanced the Capacitive Behavior of Activated Carbon/PVA as Potential Electrode Materials

In this work, activated carbon (AC) derived from biomass wastes was implemented as electrode materials in supercapacitor application. This study has adopted rubber seed shell (RSS) wastes to derive AC via pyrolysis process. Meanwhile, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was used as an additive material in order to study the effect of the rGO in capacitive behavior. The synthesized rGO was successfully...

Capacitive Behavior of Single Gallium Oxide Nanobelt

In this research, monocrystalline gallium oxide (Ga₂O₃) nanobelts were synthesized through oxidation of metal gallium at high temperature. An electronic device, based on an individual Ga₂O₃ nanobelt on Pt interdigital electrodes (IDEs), was fabricated to investigate the electrical characteristics of the Ga2O3 nanobelt in a dry atmosphere at room temperature. The current-voltage (I-V) and I/V-t ...
