abstract

nickel doped tio2 nano particles (1% w/w) were prepared and immobilized on nax zeolite and after characterization by x-ray diffraction (xrd) and scanning electron microscopy (sem) used as photo catalyts for degradation of orange g. the xrd patterns show that the supported tio2 are crystallized in anatase form and the intensity of the zeolite peaks decreases with the increase of tio2 loading. scanning electron micrographs of synthesized samples show that nano size titanium dioxide particles are accumulated on the surface of the zeolite. these materials are applied as photo catalysts for the degradation of orange g in aqueous solution by means of uv light irradiation at room temperature. the effect of solution ph, uv irradiation time and catalyst in degradation of orange g was investigated. the results show that nickel doped tio2/nax zeolite as a photo catalyst in degradation of orange g in acidic solution is superior to the ni/tio2 nano composite and also undoped nano size titanium dioxide particles.

Optimization of Nanocrystals NaX Zeolite Synthesis with Different Silica Sources

The effects of varying the silica source on synthesis of NaX zeolite crystals via conventional hydrothermal method have been investigated. Five different silica sources were selected while other parameters like Al source, reaction and aging time, SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio and temperature were same. The prepared products were characterized by XRD technique. The results showed that different cry...

Evidence for Subdomains in Large Crystals of NaX Zeolite

1. Introduction Pulsed Field Gradient (PFG) NMR has proved to be a valuable tool to probe the intracrystalline diffusion of molecules adsorbed in microporous materials [1]. It is well-known that the purely intracrystalline diffusivity D intra can only be attained, if the root mean square (rms) displacement of the molecules during the observation time is much smaller than the diameter of the cry...

Enhancement of photocatalytic activity of ZnO–SiO2 by nano-sized Pt for efficient removal of dyes from wastewater effluents

In this work, ZnO/SiO2 nanoparticles were prepared using sol-gel method, and platinum particles were loaded on ZnO/SiO2 nanoparticles by photoreductive method. Samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The XRD patterns showed that the zinc oxide samples have a wurtzite structure (hexagonal phase...

Effect of Particle Size of NaX Zeolite on Adsorption of CO2/CH4

In the present work, the nano-NaX zeolite and micro-NaX zeolite were synthesized via hydrothermal method. Then, the adsorption capacities and isotherms of pure gases CO2 and CH4 on the synthesized zeolite nanoparticles were determined at three temperatures of 288, 298 and 308 K and various pressures from 1 up to 20 bar. Adsorption capacities of CO2 on the nano-sized zeolites NaX were showed to ...
