abstract

least squares method (lsm) is an accurate and rapid method for solving some analytical andnumerical problems. this method can be used to estimate the average reservoir pressure in well testanalysis. in fact, it may be employed to estimate parameters such as permeability (k) and porevolume (vp). regarding this point, buildup, drawdown, late transient test data, modified muskatmethod, interference test, and other methods are equivalent to a separable least squares problem.the main advantage of lsm in the well testing problems is that the results would be confident andno trial and error is required. furthermore, the given method requires a short time. the fast rate ofconvergence and high accuracy of the lsm are demonstrated through two examples. the currentstudy concerns a modified muskat method. the results of lsm combined with the modified muskatmethod are compared with the other iterative and qualitative methods. the preliminary numericalresults with both simulated and field data suggest that the method be capable of producing smoothinterpretable estimates of reservoir parameters from data.

Fuzzy Hybrid least-Squares Regression Approach to Estimating the amount of Extra Cellular Recombinant Protein A from Escherichia coli BL21

Introduction: Immune Protein A is a component with a vast spectrum of biochemical, biological and medical usages. The coding gene of this protein was extracted from Staphylococcus aureus and was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli bacteria. Suitable statistical methods are utilized to optimize expression conditions  for evaluating experiment accuracy , guarantee the accuracy of subsequent ...

Least – Squares Method For Estimating Diffusion Coefficient

Abstract: Determination of the diffusion coefficient on the base of solution of a linear inverse problem of the parameter estimation using the Least-square method is presented in this research. For this propose a set of temperature measurements at a single sensor location inside the heat conducting body was considered. The corresponding direct problem was then solved by the application of the ...

LEAST – SQUARES METHOD FOR ESTIMATING DIFFUSION COEFFICIENT

Determining the diffusion coefficient based on the solution of the linear inverse problem of the parameter estimation by using the Least-square method is presented. A set of temperature measurements at a single sensor location inside the heat conducting body is required. The corresponding direct problem will be solved by an application of the heat fundamental solution.

consequence analysis of the leakage, ignition and explosion during high pressure sour gas injection process to the oil reservoir

there is no doubt that human being needs to become integrated with industry and industry needs to be progressed, daily. on the other hand, serious events in industrial units specially in oil industries has been shown that such damages and events are industry related ones. the consequence of such events and damages which resulted in chemical and poisoned explosions and loss of life and property ...

New least squares solutions for estimating the average centre of rotation and the axis of rotation.

A new method is proposed for estimating the parameters of ball joints, also known as spherical or revolute joints and hinge joints with a fixed axis of rotation. The method does not require manual adjustment of any optimisation parameters and produces closed form solutions. It is a least squares solution using the whole 3D motion data set. We do not assume strict rigidity but only that the mark...
