The Hadronic Gas Chiral Phase Transition within Generalized Chiral Perturbation Theory
نویسنده
چکیده
We study the temperature evolution of the 〈q̄q〉 condensate below the chiral phase transition. The hadronic gas is described using a virial expansion within Generalized Chiral Perturbation Theory. In such way, we can implement both the large or small chiral condensate scenarios and analyze the condensate dependence on the values of the lightest quark masses. Chiral condensate thermal evolution at finite baryon chemical potential within Chiral Perturbation Theory
We present a model independent study of the chiral condensate evolution in a hadronic gas, in terms of temperature and baryon chemical potential. The meson-meson interactions are described within Chiral Perturbation Theory and the pion-nucleon interaction by means of Heavy Baryon Chiral Perturbation Theory, both at one loop, and nucleon-nucleon interactions can be safely neglected within our ha...

We consider a chiral one-loop hedgehog soliton of the bosonized SU(2) f Nambu & Jona-Lasinio model which is embedded in a hot medium of constituent quarks. Energy and radius of the soliton are determined in self-consistent mean-field approximation. Quasi-classical corrections to the soliton energy are derived by means of the pushing and cranking approaches. The corresponding inertial parameters...

Abstract We consider a chemical freeze-out mechanism which is based on a strong medium dependence of the rates for inelastic flavor-equilibrating collisions based on the delocalization of hadronic wave functions and growing hadronic radii when approaching the chiral restoration. We investigate the role of mesonic (pion) and baryonic (nucleon) fluctuations for melting the chiral condensate in th...
متن کاملOn Effective Degrees of Freedom at Chiral Restoration and the Vector Manifestation∗
Recent research activities on the chiral structure of hadronic matter near the phase transition predicted by QCD and extensively looked for in terrestrial laboratories as well as in satellite observatories raise the issue of whether we have fully identified the relevant degrees of freedom involved in the transition. In this talk, I would like to discuss a recent novel approach to the issue base...

A main reason to study the generalized GDH sum is to understand the transition from the hadronic to the partonic descriptions of the nucleon. The generalized GDH sum is in principle calculable at any Q, which makes it an ideal tool to study the hadronic to partonic transition. This topic was covered in the symposium. However, the validity domains of the available chiral perturbation theory (χPT...
