چکیده

Predictions of the CMB spectrum from a bimetric gravity theory (BGT) [1] are presented. The initial inflationary period in BGT is driven by a vanishingly small speed of gravitational waves vg in the very early universe. This initial inflationary period is insensitive to the choice of scalar field potential and initial values of the scalar field. After this initial period of inflation, vg will increase rapidly and the effects of a potential will become important. We show that a quadratic potential introduced into BGT yields an approximately flat spectrum with inflation parameters: ns = 0.98, nt = −0.027, αs = −3.2× 10 and αt = −5.0× 10, with r ≥ 0.014.

Variable Speed of Light Cosmology and Bimetric Gravity: An Alternative to Standard Inflation

A scalar-tensor bimetric gravity model of early universe cosmology is reviewed. The metric frame with a variable speed of light (VSL) and a constant speed of gravitational waves is used to describe a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universe. The Friedmann equations are solved for a radiation dominated equation of state and the power spectrum is predicted to be scale invariant with a scalar mode spec...

Observational Consequences of Evolution of Primordial Fluctuations in Scalar-Tensor Cosmology

Evolution of primordial fluctuations in a Brans-Dicke type scalar-tensor gravity theory is comprehensively investigated. The harmonic attractor model, in which the scalar field has its harmonic effective potential in the Einstein conformal frame and the theory relaxes toward Einstein gravity with time, is considered. The evolution of adiabatic initial perturbations in flat SCDM models is examin...

Scale Invariant Spectrum from Variable Speed of Light Metric in a Bimetric Gravity Theory

An approximately scale invariant spectrum generating the seeds of structure formation is derived from a bimetric gravity theory. By requiring that the amplitude of the CMB fluctuations from the model matches the observed value, we determine the fundamental length scale in the model to be a factor of 10 times larger than the Planck length, which results in a scalar mode spectral index: ns ≈ 0.97...

A Scalar-Tensor Bimetric Brane World Cosmology

We study a scalar-tensor bimetric cosmology in the Randall-Sundrum model with one positive tension brane, where the biscalar field is assumed to be confined on the brane. The effective Friedmann equations on the brane are obtained and analyzed. We comment on resolution of cosmological problems in this bimetric model.

Bimetric Gravity Theory , Varying Speed of Light and the Dimming of Supernovae

In the bimetric scalar-tensor gravitational theory there are two frames associated with the two metrics ĝμν and gμν , which are linked by the gradients of a scalar field φ. The choice of a comoving frame for the metric ĝμν or gμν has fundamental physical consequences for local observers in either metric spacetimes, while maintaining diffeomorphism invariance. When the metric gμν is chosen to be...
