The Gpd Experimental Program at Jefferson Lab
نویسنده
چکیده
Recent results on the Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD) program at Jefferson Lab (JLab) will be presented. The emphasis will be in the Hall A program aiming at measuring Q−dependences of different terms of the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) cross section. This is a fundamental step before one can extract GPD information from JLab DVCS data. The upcoming program in Hall A, using both a 6 GeV beam (≈ 2010) and a 11 GeV beam (≈ 2015) will also be described.

THE EUROPEAN PHYSICAL JOURNAL A A fitter code for Deep Virtual Compton Scattering and Generalized Parton Distributions
We have developed a fitting code based on the leading-twist handbag Deep Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) amplitude in order to extract Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD) information from DVCS observables in the valence region. In a first stage, with simulations and pseudo-data, we show that the full GPD information can be recovered from experimental data if enough observables are measured....
متن کاملQCD in Nuclear Processes at Jefferson Lab
The scientific program at Jefferson Lab to probe the properties of QCD in the nuclear environment is outlined. The experimental facilities are described and recent results are presented including measurements of color transparency and medium modifications of vector mesons. The evidence for the onset of color transparency is modest and changes to the mass and width of the ρ meson in heavy nuclei...

The Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab) comprises a 6 GeV continuous electron beam accelerator (CEBAF) delivering beam to three experimental halls, and a kilowatt range tunable free electron laser (FEL), currently being upgraded to a 10 kW machine. The progression into steady state experimental runs at the facility has allowed the alignment group the opportunity to in...

The Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) parameterize the non-pertubative structure of the nucleon and can be used to reveal the correlations between the momentum and position of partons in the nucleon. They appear in the amplitudes of hard-exclusive electroproduction reactions such as DVCS on the nucleon (ep → epγ). The GPD formalism can be extended to more general final states with the int...

Recent measurements of nucleon resonance transition form factors with CLAS at Jefferson Lab are discussed. The new data confirm the assertion of the symmetric constituent quark model of the Roper as the first radial excitation of the nucleon. The data on high Q nπ production better constrain the branching ratios βNπ and βNη for the S11(1535). For the first time, the longitudinal transition ampl...
