چکیده
II. BACKGROUND Abstract: This paper describes the application of distributed system techniques to an MIT Media Lab sponsored project on multi-point video recording. The two main improvements to the system are: (1) An algorithm to calculate optimum camera angle based on the locations of other cameras in the system and (2) A method of forwarding information between out-ofrange cameras via intermediaries, so that all cameras in the system are aware of each other. O16: Long Term Video EEG (AC/DC) Monitoring
Long term video electro-encephalographic (EEG) monitoring (LTM) is defined as the continuous and synchronized recording of EEG and multimedia to analyze brain abnormalities. A conventional LTM system continuously records EEG in the frequency range of 0.5-70Hz. The data synchronization, the high-volume data management, the system reliability as well as noise reduction remain significant challeng...
متن کاملA communication architecture for telepresence in virtual environments
In this thesis, we describe the communication architecture of the blue-c, a novel platform for tele-immersive collaborative applications enhanced by 3D video conferencing features. This communication architecture is required to handle data communication and distributed computing within the blue-c system. This comprises not only the functionality of common networking services and remote method i...
متن کاملAdaptive Distributed Consensus Control for a Class of Heterogeneous and Uncertain Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems
This paper has been devoted to the design of a distributed consensus control for a class of uncertain nonlinear multi-agent systems in the strict-feedback form. The communication between the agents has been described by a directed graph. Radial-basis function neural networks have been used for the approximation of the uncertain and heterogeneous dynamics of the followers as well as the effect o...
متن کاملWyner-Ziv video coding for wireless lightweight multimedia applications
Wireless video communications promote promising opportunities involving commercial applications on a grand scale as well as highly specialized niche markets. In this regard, the design of efficient video coding systems, meeting such key requirements as low power, mobility and low complexity, is a challenging problem. The solution can be found in fundamental information theoretic results, which ...
