چکیده

A synthetic approach to the sandwich complex [Cp'''Co(η4 -P4 )] (2) containing a cyclo-P4 ligand as an end-deck was developed. Complex 2 is the missing homologue in the series of first-row cyclo-Pn sandwich complexes, and shows a unique tendency to dimerize in solution to form two isomeric P8 complexes [(Cp'''Co)2 (μ,η4 :η2 :η1 -P8 )] (3 and 4). Reactivity studies indicate that 2 and 3 react with further [Cp'''Co] fragments to give [(Cp'''Co)2 (μ,η2 :η2 -P2 )2 ] (5) and [(Cp'''Co)3 P8 ] (6), respectively. Furthermore, complexes 2, 3, and 4 thermally decompose forming 5, 6, and the P12 complex [(Cp'''Co)3 P12 ] (7). DFT calculations on the P4 activation process suggest a η3 -P4 Co complex as the key intermediate in the synthesis of 2 as well as in the formation of larger polyphosphorus complexes via a unique oligomerization pathway.

Synthesis and investigation the thermal behavior thermodynamically of new metal Complex of Cobalt nitrate

Increasing the molecular accumulation and density of high-energy substances have a determinative role in improving the performance and intensity of energy release. Therefore, it is possible to increase the density of high-energy materials if the high-energy molecules can be arranged around a metal core as coordinated molecules. The aim of this project was to synthesize energetic complexes of cy...

Activation of White Phosphorus by Low-Valent Group 5 Complexes: Formation and Reactivity of cyclo-P4 Inverted Sandwich Compounds

We report the synthesis and comprehensive study of the electronic structure of a unique series of dinuclear group 5 cyclo-tetraphosphide inverted sandwich complexes. White phosphorus (P4) reacts with niobium(III) and tantalum(III) β-diketiminate (BDI) tert-butylimido complexes to produce the bridging cyclo-P4 phosphide species {[(BDI)(N(t)Bu)M]2(μ-η(3):η(3)P4)} (1, M = Nb; 2, M = Ta) in fair yi...

Spinel-Type Cobalt Oxide (Co3O4) Nanoparticles from the mer- Co(NH3)3(NO2)3 Complex: Preparation, Characterization, and Study of Optical and Magnetic Properties

In this paper, the mer-Co(NH3)3(NO2)3 complex was used as a new precursor for synthesizing spinel-type cobalt oxide nanoparticles (Co3O4NPs).Thermal decomposition of the complex at low temperature (175 °C) resulted in the Co3O4NPs without using expensive and toxic solvents or complicated equipment. XRD, FT-IR, SEM, EDX, and TEM were employed to characterize the product, and its optical and magn...

An Inverted‐Sandwich Diuranium μ‐η5:η5‐Cyclo‐P5 Complex Supported by U‐P5 δ‐Bonding†

Reaction of [U(TrenTIPS)] [1, TrenTIPS=N(CH2CH2NSiiPr3)3] with 0.25 equivalents of P4 reproducibly affords the unprecedented actinide inverted sandwich cyclo-P5 complex [{U(TrenTIPS)}2(μ-η5:η5-cyclo-P5)] (2). All prior examples of cyclo-P5 are stabilized by d-block metals, so 2 shows that cyclo-P5 does not require d-block ions to be prepared. Although cyclo-P5 is isolobal to cyclopentadienyl, w...

Formation of the spirocyclic, Si-centered cage cations [ClP(NSiMe3)2Si(NSiMe3)2P5](+) and [P5(NSiMe3)2Si(NSiMe3)2P5](2).

On account of our interest in P4 activation by phosphenium ion insertion into P-P bonds we have developed synthetic routes to bicyclic N-P-Si-heterocycle 7 and probed its reactivity towards GaCl3 and P4. A GaCl3-induced rearrangement of 7 leads to the in situ formation of spirocyclic, Si-centered phosphenium ions. Their insertion into P-P bonds of one or two P4 tetrahedra yields polyphosphorus ...
