Correlation between clinical symptoms and microorganisms isolated from root canals of teeth with periapical pathosis.

چکیده
Periapical pathosis cases were classified and the effect of bacteria on clinical symptoms was examined. A positive correlation between bacterial growth and clinical symptoms was found. Peptococcus magnus and Bacteroides species were commonly found in clinically acute cases, while oral streptococci and enteric bacteria were frequently isolated from clinically asymptomatic cases. and Goodman (8) was first attempted in order to classify the cases of periapical pathosis. However, not all cases were distinctly diagnosed. Therefore, we tried to classift/ periapical pathosis based on the combination of three representative symptoms, i.e. spontaneous pain, percussion pain, and exudation. Comparative studies of the distribution of bacteria isolated from each group were carried out.

Microorganisms from canals of root-filled teeth with periapical lesions.
AIM The objective of the present study was to identify the microbial flora within root canals of teeth with failed root-canal treatment and to determine the association of the various species with clinical features. METHODOLOGY Sixty root-filled teeth with persisting periapical lesions were selected for this study. During nonsurgical endodontic re-treatment, the root-filling material was remo...

Abstract Background and objectives: Anaerobic microorganisms, particularly bacteroides play an important role in causing Pulp and preapical diseases that lead to chronic abscess. we aimed at studying anaerobie infections in necrotic teeth having Acute and chronic clinical symptoms. Material and Methods: We examined 28 necrotic teeth of 28 patients for the purpose of anaerobic culture fifteen ca...

Pulpal and periradicular pathosis are the result of microbial, mechanical, or chemical invasion. Microorganisms are the main irritants of pulpal and periapical tissues. The goal of the obturation is to obtain a fluid-tight seal of the root canal system from its coronal aspect through its apical extent to preserve from the irritants.. Root apices have morphological irregularities in teeth with p...
متن کاملRoot canal microbiota of dogs' teeth with periapical lesions induced by two different methods.
OBJECTIVE The microbial composition was investigated in root canals of dogs' teeth with periapical lesions induced by 2 different methods: open versus sealed canals. STUDY DESIGN Teeth from Group I (n = 16) were left open for a week, then sealed with composite resin for 120 days. The teeth from Group II (n = 16) were left open for the same period. Microbiological samples from the root canals ...
متن کاملDiagnosis and management planning for rootfilled teeth with persisting or new apical pathosis
Teeth may require further management following root canal treatment because of persisting or new apical pathosis. Management must be based on the diagnosis of the presenting condition and the history of the previous treatment, particularly in relation to when it was completed. Most root-filled teeth with periapical pathosis should be re-treated in the first instance via a conventional orthograd...
