Anomaly Detection using Adaptive Fusion of Graph Features on a Time Series of Graphs

چکیده
Abstract It is known that fusion of information from graph features, compared to individual features, can provide superior inference for anomaly detection [PPM10]. However, selection of a fusion technique other than a naive equal weighting is not trivial. We present a multivariate methodology for fusion of features derived from time series of graphs, and investigate its inferential efficacy. The results demonstrate that our methodology has higher detection, estimation, and localization power than the standard linear weighting fusion techniques for a certain class of anomaly detection problems. Simulation results using a time series of random graphs, as well as illustrative results from a time series of Enron email data, are presented.

Statistical inference on attributed random graphs: Fusion of graph features and content: An experiment on time series of Enron graphs
Fusion of information from graph features and content can provide superior inference for an anomaly detection task, compared to the corresponding content-only or graph featureonly statistics. In this paper, we design and execute an experiment on a time series of attributed graphs extracted from the Enron email corpus which demonstrates the benefit of fusion. The experiment is based on injecting...
متن کاملApplication of Combined Local Object Based Features and Cluster Fusion for the Behaviors Recognition and Detection of Abnormal Behaviors
In this paper, we propose a novel framework for behaviors recognition and detection of certain types of abnormal behaviors, capable of achieving high detection rates on a variety of real-life scenes. The new proposed approach here is a combination of the location based methods and the object based ones. First, a novel approach is formulated to use optical flow and binary motion video as the loc...
متن کاملHerbal plants zoning using target detection algorithms on time-series of Sentinel-2 multispectral images (Amygdalus Scoparia)
Today, medicinal plants have a special place in the economy and health of a society. Due to the natural growth of many of these products, the necessity of zoning them for optimum and optimal utilization seems necessary. Traditional zoning solutions are not efficient due to their low accuracy and speed, therefore a new approach is needed. Remote sensing data have many applications in various fie...
متن کاملAdaptive Decision Fusion in Detection Networks
In a detection network, the final decision is made by fusing the decisions from local detectors. The objective of that decision is to minimize the final error probability. To implement and optimal fusion rule, the performance of each detector, i.e. its probability of false alarm and its probability of missed detection as well as the a priori probabilities of the hypotheses, must be known. How...
