An Efficiency Comparison of Different Java Technologies

چکیده

Java and related technologies are very used for distributed applications today. In this moment, there are many Java technologies using the client-server paradigm. Among these, the following are the most important: Common Gateway Interface (CGI) [4,7], Servlets/JSP [1,10,12], JavaSpaces [1,5,6] and Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) [1,2,8]. To choose one of these for solving a problem (to implement a distributed application), the performances, rapid development and robustness are important criteria. In this paper, we present a run-time performance comparison between these technologies.
