چکیده

Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) is one of polynomial methods in control design. Its design effectiveness mainly stems from the usage of a diagram called Coefficient Diagram. Coefficient diagram shows the coefficients of characteristics polynomial and those of numerator polynomials corresponding to sensitivity and auxiliary sensitivity function in logarithmic scale, where the abscissa is the order for the coefficients. From the shape, designer can visualize the stability, response, and robustness. A well-known difficult benchmark problem is solved to demonstrate the effectiveness of CDM. Copyright © 2005 IFAC

Robust Control Synthesis for an Unmanned Underwater Vehicle

The control design for unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) is challenging due to the uncertainties in the complex dynamic modeling of the vehicle as well as its unstructured operational environment. To cope with these difficulties, a practical robust control is therefore desirable. The paper deals with the application of coefficient diagram method (CDM) for a robust control design of an autonom...

Effect of blade profile on the performance characteristics of axial compressor in design condition

The choice of geometrical shape of the blades has a considerable effect on aerodynamic performance and flow characteristics in axial compressors. In this paper, the effects of the blades shape on the aerodynamic design characteristics are investigated based on Streamline Curvature Method (SCM). Initially, the Streamline Curvature Method (SCM) is used for designing a two-stage axial compressor. ...

Preparation, Characterization, Optimization, and Stability Studies of Aceclofenac Proniosomes

The aim of this investigation was to prepare, characterize and optimize the aceclofenac proniosomes using central composite design and carry out stability studies. Three independent variables selected were molar ratio of drug to lipid (X1), surfactant loading (X2) and volume of hydration (X3). Based on central composite design, 16 batches of proniosomes were prepared by slurry method and evalua...

APPLICATION OF EVOLUTIONARY POLYNOMIAL REGRESSION IN ULTRAFILTRATION SYSTEMS CONSIDERING THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT PARAMETERS ON OILY WASTEWATER TREATMENT

In the present work, the effects of operating conditions including pH, transmembrane pressure, oil concentration, and temperature on fouling resistance and the rejection of turbidity for a polymeric membrane in an ultrafiltration system of wastewater treatment were studied. A new modeling technique called evolutionary polynomial regression (EPR) was investigated. EPR is a method based on regres...
