Multi-issue Allocation Games

چکیده
This paper introduces a new class of transferable-utility games, called multi-issue allocation games. These games arise from various allocation situations and are based on the concepts underlying the bankruptcy model, as introduced by O'Neill (1982). In this model, a perfectly divisible good (estate) has to be divided amongst a given set of agents, each of whom has some claim on the estate. Contrary to the standard bankruptcy model, the current model deals with situations in which the agents' claims are multi-dimensional, where the dimensions correspond to various issues. It is shown that the class of multi-issue allocation games coincides with the class of (nonnegative) exact games. The run-to-the-bank rule is introduced as a solution for multi-issue allocation situations and turns out to be Shapley value of the corresponding game. Finally, this run-to-the-bank rule is characterised by means of a consistency property. Dept. de Matemμatica Econμomica, Financera i Actuarial, Universitat de Barcelona. A Closed-Form Formula for the Fair Allocation of Gains in Cooperative N-Person Games
Abstract This paper provides a closed-form optimal solution to the multi-objective model of the fair allocation of gains obtained by cooperation among all players. The optimality of the proposed solution is first proved. Then, the properties of the proposed solution are investigated. At the end, a numerical example in inventory control environment is given to demonstrate the application and t...
متن کاملType Monotonic Allocation Schemes for Multi - Glove Games
Multi–glove markets and corresponding games are considered. For this class of games we introduce the notion of type monotonic allocation scheme. Allocation rules for multi–glove markets based on weight systems are introduced and characterized. These allocation rules generate type monotonic allocation schemes for multi–glove games and are also helpful in proving that each core element of the cor...

New generation of wireless networks, LTE and WiMAX, supports many services which consume a lot of resources (such as VOIP, Video Conference, Digital Video, Multimedia streams and online Multi-player Games). Supporting multi-media services in wireless communication systems provide new resource allocation challenges. Because of high loads in downlink, efficient resource allocation is vital in dow...
متن کاملA robust approach to multi period covering location-allocation problem in pharmaceutical supply chain
This paper proposes a discrete capacitated covering location-allocation model for pharmaceutical centers. In the presented model, two objectives are considered; the first one is minimization of costs and the second one try to maximize customer satisfaction by definition of social justice. Social justice in the model means that we consider customers satisfaction by using distance. the introduced...
متن کاملInterference Relay Channels - Part II: Power Allocation Games
In the first part of this paper we have derived achievable transmission rates for the (single-band) interference relay channel (IRC) when the relay implements either the amplify-and-forward, decode-and-forward or estimate-andforward protocol. Here, we consider wireless networks that can be modeled by a multi-band IRC. We tackle the existence issue of Nash equilibria (NE) in these networks where...
