چکیده

The tumor suppressor genes p16'NK4A and ~ 1 5 ' ~ " ~ map to the 9p21 chromosomal locus and are either homozygously deleted or mutated in a wide range of human cancer cell lines and tumors. Although chromosome 9 abnormalities have been described in non-Hodgkin's lymphomas [NHLs), to date, the mutational status of these genes has not been determined for these malignancies. A total of five cell lines and 75 NHLs were examined for homozygous deletions or point mutations in the coding regions of both the p15 and p16 genes using Southern blot and/or polymerase chain reaction-single-strand conformation polymorphism analyses.

Inhibition of Cyclin-dependent Kinase (CDK) Decreased Survival of NB4 Leukemic Cells: Proposing a p53-Independent Sensitivity of Leukemic Cells to Multi-CDKs Inhibitor AT7519

An unbounded number of events exist beneath the intricacy of each particular hematologic malignancy, prompting the tumor cells into an unrestrained proliferation and invasion. Aberrant expression of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) is one of these events which disrupts regulation of cell cycle and subsequently, results in cancer progression. In this study, we surveyed the repressive impact of mu...

Diagnosis and Treatment B non-Hodgkin Lymphoma with System Biology Approaches

Lymphomas are solid tumors of immune system and Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas (NHL) is the most prevalent lymphomas; with wide ranges of histological and clinical features, it is so difficult to identify them. Herein, various bioinformatics tools (such as gene differential expressions, epigenetics and protein analysis) employed to find new treatment approach for NHL based on gene expression variation b...

Detection of homozygous deletions of the cyclin-dependent kinase 4 inhibitor (p16) gene in acute lymphoblastic leukemia and association with adverse prognostic features.

A recently described putative tumor suppressor gene, the cyclin-dependent kinase 4 inhibitor (p16), has been shown to be altered by deletions and/or point mutations in various human cancers. To assess the incidence and clinico-biologic correlations of p16 homozygous deletion in hemopoietic tumors, we studied a panel of 244 DNA samples representative of distinct acute (99 cases) and chronic (57 ...

Human non-Hodgkin's lymphomas overexpress a wild-type form of p53 which is a functional transcriptional activator of the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21.

A large fraction of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHLs) accumulate a wild-type form of the p53 tumor suppressor protein at the nuclear level. In normal cells, p53 induction is associated with a temporary cell growth arrest at the G1-S boundary of the cell cycle. This activity of p53 as a G1 checkpoint molecule is strictly dependent on its ability to induce the transcription of the inhibitor of the c...
