چکیده
The administration of pituitary growth hor mone (STH) to C3H mice bearing transplanted mammary adenocarcinoma has been shown to cause an increase in the tumor and animal weights when the mice were sacrificed at the end of a 27day injection period (5). It was also observed that the animals receiving STH appeared generally healthier than did their respective controls at the time they were sacrificed. In view of these interesting observations it ap peared desirable to study the effect of prolonged administration of STH (2, 3) on survival time, tumor weight, and body growth in C3H mice bearing transplanted mammary tumors.

Detection of Mouse Cytomegalovirus in Adenocarcinoma Bearing Razi/A Mice: Molecular and Pathological Studies
Despite a lot of research, the etiology and progression of breast cancer remain incompletely understood. Recently, human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) was reported as a risk factor for breast cancer. The aim of this study was to know whether breast cancer could be caused by cytomegalovirus or not? In this experiment seventeen samples of RAZI/A mice with spontaneous breast cancer were being gathered fr...

متن کاملA Laboratory Evaluation of 1,4-dimethyl-1,4-diphenyl-2-tetrazene (centrazene), a Carcinostatic Compound.
The biological properties of l,4-dimethyl-l,4-diphenyl-2-tetrazene (centrazene), a new anti-neoplastic compound which is not an alkylating agent, were described and compared with those of thioTEPA. Short-term studies demonstrated that both centrazene and thioTEPA inhibited the growth of 72j mammary adenocarcinoma growing in C3H mice. ThioTEPA produced concurrent bone marrow damage, and its effe...
متن کاملArteether Exerts Antitumor Activity and Reduces CD4+CD25+FOXP3+ T-reg Cells in Vivo
Background: Chemo-immunotherapy is one of the new achievements for treatment of cancer, by which the success of anti-cancer therapy can be increased. In vitro studies have been shown that Arteether (ARE) induces apoptosis in tumor cells, but not in normal cells. Objective: To investigate the cytotoxic and immunomodulatory properties of Arteether in-vivo and in-vitro. Methods: In this study, we ...
متن کاملThe Effect of the “Laying On of Hands” on Transplanted Breast Cancer in Mice
After witnessing numerous cases of cancer remission associated with a healer who used “laying on of hands” in New York, one of us (W.B.) “apprenticed” in techniques alleged to reproduce the healing effect. We obtained five experimental mice with mammary adenocarcinoma (code: H2712; host strain: C3H/HeJ; strain of origin: C3H/HeHu), which had a predicted 100% fatality between 14 and 27 days subs...
