Low Power Design Techniques for Embedded Systems Dynamic power management Entwurf von Systems-on-a-Chip für Kommunikationsanwendungen

چکیده
Dynamic power management (DPM) is a power reduction technique based on dynamically reconfiguring the systems to provide the requested services with a minimum load on the components of the system. DPM includes a set of techniques that achieves energy-efficient computation by selectively turning off (or reducing the performance of) system components when they are idle (or partially unexploited). This paper, tries to be an approach to all those different techniques. I firstly describe how systems employ power-manageable components and then I explain those techniques divided into two groups: Predictive techniques and Stochastic techniques.
