1. Introduction Recently, sensor chips using mixed-signal CMOS technology have been applied for sensing and monitoring biological functions [1], [2]. A low-noise amplifier is one of the key circuits for detecting small level signals in the sensor chip. Extremely low voltage operation is required for wireless systems using such new energy sources as solar batteries or bio-batteries. However, wit...
متن کاملLow-Voltage and Low-Noise CMOS Analog Circuits Using Scaled Devices
Recently low-voltage and low-noise analog circuits with sub100nm CMOS devices are strongly demanded for implementing mobile digital multimedia and wireless systems. Reduction of supply voltage makes it difficult to attain a signal voltage swing, and device deviation causes large DC offset voltage and 1/f noise. This paper describes noise reduction technique for CMOS analog and RF circuits opera...

متن کاملA Dynamic Instrumentation Amplifier for Low-Power and Low-Noise Biopotential Acquisition
Abstract: A low-power and low-noise dynamic instrumentation amplifier (IA) for biopotential acquisition is presented. A dynamic IA that can reduce power consumption with a timely piecewise power-gating method, and noise level with an alternating input and chopper stabilization technique is fabricated with a 0.13-μm CMOS. Using the reconfigurable architecture of the IA, various combinations of t...
