Performance Analysis of MIMO MC-CDMA through Subcarrier Allocation

چکیده

MIMO communication using multiple transmit and multiple receive antennas is a prominent solution to reduce the effect of fading. Additionally spatial multiplexing has been adopted in MIMO to increase the data rate without increasing the transmit power. Due to easier implementation of higher data rate by increased subcarriers and its inherent fading resistance using frequency diversity, MC-CDMA system finds a key role for effective transmission in wireless communication. However MC-CDMA suffers from Inter Symbol Interference (ISI) due to loss of orthogonality among subcarriers which leads to performance degradation. This paper uses a subcarrier allocation algorithm for MIMO MCCDMA system. BER performance is compared for the system with and without subcarrier allocation algorithm. It has been identified through simulation, Subcarrier allocation algorithm reduces BER.
