?for This is a small booklet prepared by the Brother and Sister group of the Association ?-the Help of Retarded Children in New York. It is written to help children who have retarded brother or sister, and summarises such problems as how to accept the situate11' It also gives practical suggestions, such as activities the family can do together. The ide of such a booklet and the points discussed are good, but in this handful of pages they c only be dealt with superficially, so their value is probably limited to the intelligent teenag with a mildly handicapped brother or sister. Little mention is made of the feelings of* child who has a severely handicapped brother or sister, whom it is difficult to-love an. :5 play with, and who needs a lot of attention from their mother. With such children, booklet could make them feel more badly than they do already, and the language vvoU seem to be too sophisticated?though possibly not for American children!
