High-dose dobutamine stress magnetic resonance perfusion imaging at 3.0 Tesla

چکیده
Background Dobutamine stress magnetic resonance (DSMR-wall motion) has been established as a valuable tool for the detection of inducible wall motion abnormalities. Additional perfusion imaging during DSMR (DSMR-perfusion) was shown to improve sensitivity for the detection of myocardial ischemia. Current experience is based on 1.5T only, mainly due to insufficient image quality of steady state free precession (SSFP) cine imaging at higher field strengths. Recently, image quality and diagnostic accuracy of SSFP sequences was significantly improved by dual-source parallel radiofrequency (RF) transmission for 3.0T. We examined whether the addition of myocardial perfusion imaging during DSMR at 3.0T is feasible and whether it provides incremental benefit for the evaluation of CAD.

High-dose dobutamine stress SSFP cine MRI at 3 Tesla with patient adaptive local RF shimming using dual-source RF transmission
Background Image quality of cine imaging using steady state free precession (SSFP) sequences at 3T is insufficient due to increased RF-inhomogeneity (B1 field) and the high sensitivity of SSFP sequences to off-resonance artefacts. Recently, the introduction of a dual source RF transmission system with patient-adaptive local RF-shimming has led to a significant improvement of image quality of SS...

OBJECTIVES This study sought to determine the prognostic value of wall motion and perfusion assessment during high-dose dobutamine stress (DS) cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in a large patient cohort. BACKGROUND DS-MRI offers the possibility to integrate myocardial perfusion and wall motion analysis in a single examination for the detection of coronary artery disease (CAD). METHOD...
متن کاملPoster Abstracts: Clinical MRI—Ischemic Heart Disease 201. Diagnostic Value of Low Dose Dobutamine Stress in Addition to the Assessment of Late Enhancement for the Prediction of Functional Recovery
Introduction: “Late enhancement” (LEH) techniques have been shown to yield a high value for the prediction of functional recovery of hibernating myocardium (HM). Stress imaging with low dose dobutamine by echocardiography (DSE) or magnetic resonance imaging (DSMR) has been successfully used in clinical routine to predict HM for years. Purpose: The scope of this study was to determine the diagno...

AIMS we investigated the performance of quantitative stress perfusion magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as a basis for identifying and characterizing the area-at-risk subtending a chronic coronary artery (CA) stenosis. METHODS AND RESULTS pigs underwent a percutaneous copper-coated stent implantation in the circumflex CA (n = 11) or a sham operation (n = 5). After 6 weeks, angiography and MRI ...
متن کاملHyperemic stress myocardial perfusion cardiovascular magnetic resonance in mice at 3 Tesla: initial experience and validation against microspheres
BACKGROUND Dynamic first pass contrast-enhanced myocardial perfusion is the standard CMR method for the estimation of myocardial blood flow (MBF) and MBF reserve in man, but it is challenging in rodents because of the high temporal and spatial resolution requirements. Hyperemic first pass myocardial perfusion CMR during vasodilator stress in mice has not been reported. METHODS Five C57BL/6 J ...
