Homogenization of a Conductive-radiative Heat Transfer Problem the Contribution of a Second Order Corrector

چکیده
Abstract. This paper focuses on the contribution of the second order corrector in periodic homogenization applied to a conductive-radiative heat transfer problem. Especially, for a heat conduction problem in a periodically perforated domain with a non-local boundary condition modelling the radiative heat transfer, if this model contains an oscillating thermal source and a thermal exchange with the perforations, the second order corrector helps us to model the gradients which appear between the source area and the perforations.

Second order corrector in the homogenization of a conductive-radiative heat transfer problem
This paper focuses on the contribution of the so-called second order corrector in periodic homogenization applied to a conductive-radiative heat transfer problem. More precisely, heat is diffusing in a periodically perforated domain with a non-local boundary condition modelling the radiative transfer in each hole. If the source term is a periodically oscillating function (which is the case in o...
متن کاملHomogenization of a Conductive, Convective, and Radiative Heat Transfer Problem in a Heterogeneous Domain
We are interested in the homogenization of heat transfer in periodic porous media where the fluid part is made of long thin parallel cylinders, the diameter of which is of the same order than the period. The heat is transported by conduction in the solid part of the domain and by conduction, convection and radiative transfer in the fluid part (the cylinders). A non-local boundary condition mode...
متن کاملANALYSIS OF COMBINED CONDUCTION AND RADIATION HEAT TRANSFER IN A RECTANGULAR FURNACE INCLUDING TWO FLAMES
Abstract: The present study deals the theoretical modeling aspects of coupled conductive and radiative heat transfer in the presence of absorbing, emitting and scattering gray medium within two-dimensional square furnace including two flames. The gray radiative medium is bounded by isothermal walls which are considered to be opaque, diffuse and gray. The well known discrete ordinate method (DOM...
متن کاملNumerical Analysis of Transient Heat Transfer in Radial Porous Moving Fin with Temperature Dependent Thermal Properties
In this article, a time dependent partial differential equation is used to model the nonlinear boundary value problem describing heat transfer through a radial porous moving fin with rectangular profile. The study is performed by applying a numerical solver in MATLAB (pdepe), which is a centered finite difference scheme. The thermal conductivity and fin surface emissivity are linearly ...
متن کاملHeat Transfer Characteristics of Porous Radiant Burners Using Discrete-Ordinate Method (S2-Approximation)
This paper describes a theoretical study to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of porous radiant burners. A one dimensional model is used to solve the governing equations for porous medium and gas flow before the premixed flame to the exhaust gas. Combustion in the porous medium is modeled as a spatially dependent heat generation zone. The homogeneous porous media, in addition to its...
