چکیده
• Exploring of the discrimination power of deep-UV RRS (excitation below 260 nm). This offers higher sensitivity and reduces fluorescence interference, but results in a reduced spectral information content Nevertheless, we could discriminate pyrene derivatives based on their RRS spectra.. With state-of-the-art computational methods we could simulate RRS spectra using linearresponse time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) and thus add identification power to the method.

Biosensing Based on Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy by Using Metal Nanoparticles
Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a promising tool in the analytical science because it provides good selectivity and sensitivity without the labeling process required by fluorescence detection. This technique consists of locating the target analyte on nanometer range of roughed Au-nanoparticles. The presence of the metal nanoparticles provides a tremendous enhancement to the result...

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) can provide positive identification of an analyte or an analyte mixture with high sensitivity and selectivity. Better understanding of the theory and advances in the understanding of the practice have led to the development of practical applications in which the unique advantages of SERS/SERRS have ...

Current analytical techniques for characterizing solid-state pharmaceuticals include powder x-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, electron microscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance. Powder x-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry are mainstream techniques but they lack spatial resolution. Scann...
متن کاملTemperature-dependent Photodegradation in UV-resonance Raman Spectroscopy.
Temperature-dependent photodegradation during UV-resonance Raman spectroscopy was investigated. Photodegradation was quantitatively probed by monitoring the temporal evolution of UV-resonance Raman spectra obtained from bacteriochlorophyll (BChl) showing, resonance effect at a 355-nm excitation wavelength. At 80 K, the molecular photodecomposition rate was 5-times lower than that at room temper...
متن کاملRaman spectroscopy in chemical bioanalysis.
Advances in instrumentation are making Raman spectroscopy the tool of choice for an increasing number of (bio)chemical applications. Raman is an interesting option for several reasons, including the sensitivity to small structural changes, non-invasive sampling capability, minimal sample preparation, and high spatial resolution in the case of Raman micro-spectroscopy. Herein we discuss the most...
